I only had one and don't remember any FN patent mark on it but it shows in the photo, only that making the cases out of .38 Special was a terrible task and shooting the gun I was more concerned watching my brass than followong through.

Reloadable 9mm Browning long is available and not that bad a price. It is much better functioning than the .380 abortions. I love shooting my 9mm Long reloads : 124 grain cast truncated point at around 1050 fps which seems about like factory load and functions 100% . I bought a nice one in the serial range of the OP a few years back in .380 of course and it would maybe go thru one out of three magfulls without hanging up. I bought a stainless new Barrel in 9mm Browning Long and another factory original in wrapper barrel WITH the original (longer) recoil spring in 9mm Long and been shooting happily ever since !
