This is a quote from a Cop that commented on post over on Packing.org. The post was concerning the new National LEO carry law. This guy makes me so mad I couldn't even think straight when I wrote back to him. My email to him wasn't very nice, but I wasn't trying to be his best friend. I also made the mistake of assuming he is the same age as me. I was saying some stuff to piss him and was bummed that it didn't work very well.

Just for the record most of the cops I have shot with shot better then I. I Was just trying to get a rise out him. I in no way have anything against LEOs.

    My reply

You must be joking, I can't believe you could honestly believe what you said on Packing.org. I have a carry permit here in the state of MN. There are close to 20K permit holders in this state and not one in the last 5 years has ever been arrested for a firearms related offense. I wish I could find the link if I do I will email it to you, but in the state of Texas they had found that the most law abiding group in the entire state are the permit holders. Yes they are even more law abiding then the full time LEO. If you ever go to work in another state that actually issues permits you will have a rude awakening. We aren't the problem we are law abiding citizens that just want to be safe.

Oh one more thing, so far I shoot better then about 75% of the cops I have shot with. Most of them only shoot once every 3 months. I shoot several times per week, and not that pussy line up and shoot the paper targets. I compete in an IPSC league so we are shooting combat courses.

I am guessing by your email address that you were born in 77 that means you are the same age as me. I think you should look into civilian carry permits more before you start making judgments on a topic that you don't know much about.

Is there a reason why you didn't get hired as a law enforcement officer?
If you want to CCW........join your local, state, federal law enforcement agency!
    Simple as that.

Don't get me wrong, I still respect you as a fellow American. Do I believe that cops are better than the average civilian? Yes.

    Take care and be safe.

By the way, 1977 is my badge number, not my year of birth kiddo!

Civilians do not deserve to CCW. More liability. If you want to CCW, you have to earn it and prove that you are good enough to have that privilege/right. Until then, keep your guns at home where they belong.

Cops here in CA don't like wannabe cops running around with a concealed weapon.

I don't know what to say next!! This guy has me so befuddled I don't even no what to say in a reply. He so believes what he is typing it is kind of scary. Any ideas that people have would be welcome. Oh and if you want to email this jackass yourself feel free. :fire:

PS I did not make this up!! I could never imagine sXXt this crazy!

Tell him to go stick his head in an oven. His job is to uphold the law, not make them up. If the state legislature decides to pass CCW it doesn't matter what he thinks. Otherwise he should consider another line of work. :fire:

Ya I wondered that too Wild, but the stuff about the badge number made me think he might actually be legit. Plus it honestly sounds like he is bitter at these "wannabes".

Definetly a Troll, but I guess I will never know if he is a real cop or not.

    Arguing with a fool...

If you argue with a fool, someone looking on can't tell which one is the fool.

This individual is either trolling and trying to yank your chain or he really IS an idiot. Are all of the retired Special Forces, Recon Marines, Combat Veterans and qualified, proficient and highly trained civilians currently - or former - law enforcement officers?

Are ALL LEOs proficient, knowledgable and safe? Damn, I support our LEOs but if they were all as this guy describes we should turn them loose on terrorists everywhere.

Don't feed the trolls. If this guy is really a LEO he doesn't represent the VAST majority of them in this country. Maybe in China or Saudi or North Korea or some other third-world s#$t hole he would have an audience, but here, he's just another fascist, left-wing idiot...much like the ones who shouted "seig heil!!" in 1939.

Maybe I'm all wet...but if you want my guns, come and get'em.

    Unfortunately,

This is what they are teaching new recruits in CA. This exact type of thinking. It's one thing I argued with instructors about every day.
CA POST is teaching recruits that cops are better than "civilians".
It's a sad fact that CA no longer wants peace officers. They want mindless liberal drones. And for the most part, that's what they are getting.
All the more reason for me to become a cop. Maybe I can change attitudes from the inside.

That opinion is probably representative of most cops. No big. Actually, I don't think anyone should be allowed to pack, except me.:neener:

Clearly a troll. He's way over the top, trying desperately to get people at packing.org fired up, but hardly anybody is taking the bait. Just ignore him and maybe he'll go away. :)

Do not deserve? Screw you officer freindly-MY family and myself deserve everything I can do to protect them, everywhere, at all times. Not just when he shows up *after* we've been murdered to bitch amount the amount of paperwork he's gotta do. Liability for whom? Perhaps he wasn't paying attention in English class when they spoke of the meaning of crime victim-with the defining operative that they were a vicitim because they could not or were not able to protect themselves and became so.

I have to earn CCW? I've served 8 years in the USMC, been shot at, driven over landmines, mortored, and lots of other fun things to "earn' my citizenship and it's rights, pal. Earn? The US government trusted me, as an 18 year old USMC PFC of no special importance, with millions of dollars and lives in a whole lot higher stress situations than writing a traffic ticket or surfing the web posting 'civilian trash don't deserve to defend themselves' comments. I was trained, and remain highly skilled with, all kinds of weapons and thier use and employment. Earn my CCW?

I earned that and a whole lot more jerk.

???? him ( and those ???? certainly weren't the word 'love').

Cruc, who is a bigtime LE supporter for the most part too, Cruc

Wow that guy is a total jerk! I will usually try to have an officer's back, but when someone says something THAT ignorant he's on his own. Unfortunately, just as in every other group, there are some people who make the rest look bad. :cuss:

Well, I'm not on the inside yet.
I paid my way through the academy last year, only to get dumped 2 weeks before graduation. I pulled a muscle, tore some cartilage, and missed the required Time on a Physical Agility test by 4/10 of a second.
5 months and $6,000 down the drain.
For now, I'm working as Public Safety for a 10,000 resident retirement community and trying to shed 50 lbs I put on during recovery.
In the meantime, I'm trying to get hired as a reserve officer. A lot of departments around here hire from their reserves first. I don't want to waste any more $.

Bergen County, New Jersey, San Diego City and County, California, Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon and many jurisdictions in formerly conservative Arizona and New Mexico have liberal, anti-gun and LEOs ARE the only ones to be trusted with firearms politichiefs. I have seen this attitude from politichiefs in Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles too. We, the citizens are civilians. The police are only here to write up the reports. Sad. It is not what I saw when I pinned on my first badge. 9 murders in 22 hours in New York City. Guns are verboten in NYC. Only the police should have guns. I can think of several NDs that LEOs have had, in public, in schools and on camera. My local police have started trying to become certified LEOs. There is not 100% participation and this program started in January 2003. A single officer and the politichief are the only two officers certified as yet. I cannot support a superiority by being a LEO premise. BTB, my highest badge number was 1. I was a police chief. There aren't many around today. I support CCW by ALL who qualify.

    CA Cops....

...are NOTORIOUS for their superior attitude....check this out:

    http://glocktalk.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=30

...on Glocktalk.com they are just a bunch of elitist *bleep*....

    Ok..lets ask them about:

San Francisco PD: The Fajita Gate Incident...(Cops convicted and fired for beating up a civilian over some fajitas, one being the Police Chief's son :)

    LAPD: Rampart Division (CORRUPT)

Oakland PD: The Oakland Ryders (Renegade cops planting evidence, falsifying reports, etc...)

LAPD: The Rodney King Incident (Need I say more on this topic?)

LAPD: Recently a cop RAN UP to a detained suspect and kicked him in the head (..on TV..)

Yeah, the track record of CA PD is taking a serious hit...

Question: How many cops, what % have actually been in a shootout? The majority only practice enough to qualify...so don't talk to me about liability...

Some of us shoot EVERY WEEK, year round....

I don't "wannabe" any sort of cop.

I'm not a bit interested in pushing other people around or telling people what to do or bullying them, or in babysitting a lot of spoiled teenage delinquents.

What I "wannabe" is a free American living in a free country with the full, free, uninfringed, untrammeled exercise of all my rights, all the time.

Well, I guess it's bad enough where I am, but at least I'm not in Fornicalia and am not likely to be hassled by *that* ... whatever he is. Words fail me, for once. That guy would have felt right at home in the old East Germany or the former USSR. :fire:

I've probably fired more 40mm HE grenades than the total number of rounds put through his current sideam. Possibly more than the gentleman has fired in his entire life. If I am trusted with an automatic grenade launcher, being trusted to carry around a handgun should be a non-issue.

Lucky for me, it is a non-issue. I'm in a good state with a good CCW. $19 and a trip to the county courthose is all it takes here in PA.

I'm sure there are many many LEO's that like firearms and trust their law abidding citizens with CCW. I'm sure there are a good number that do not think any citizens should be able to CCW. So what? LEO's enforce the law, they do not create the law. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I respect the job they have. I wouldn't want it.

My sympathies to those in states where you are not trusted with CCW. Keep up the good work, and keep trying to make a better, safer USA.

The fool who wrote that paragraph can't even write ONE paragraph that's grammatically correct -- how intelligent do you think he is? Ignore him. You weren't planning to visit ********** soon anyway, right? So he won't bother you unless you let him.

Kalifornians have an attitude problem. A few years ago they tried to force all 49 other states to recoognize THEIR architectural licensing exam as the equal of the national exam. I stumbled across some of their reasons in an article. What their licensing board said gave me the distinct impression that wind, rain, snow, ice, and earthquakes occur ONLY in ********** and thus they are the ONLY state that has a clue how to design a building to withstand any of the above.

My question was, if **********'s laws and regs are so much better, and their architects and engineers are so much better .... why is it that whenever I read about a house sliding down a hill in a mudslide I can automatically assume it's in ********** and be right 100% of the time?
