    THR,

Well, I am pretty proud of myself, as I will be graduating from the University of Northern Colorado on Saturday, May 12. This has been a long road for me, as I started school when I was 31, and I am graduating at 35! Trust me, it is hard to be a single 35 year old guy walking around in a sea of extremely attractive 20 year old sorority girls. I don't want to mention his name, but another THR guy is graduating from Colorado State (and just added a new baby to his clan a couple of weeks back) as well, so congratulations to him as well! Anyway, I don't mean to toot my own horn so hard, but I have to admit that I am pretty proud of myself and wanted to share it with you, my THR buddies.

In order to make this gun related, I will expect the Barretts and the First generation Colts to be mailed to my FFL within the week. PM me for details!:neener:

    Way to go! :)

Glad you avoided the sorority girls, one (of several that attempted) remains the bane of my existence, tell you whut. No that's mean of me to say... but I'd have preferred GDI.

    Oh and Semper Fi!

Never too late to learn and the older one gets the harder it can be, my hat goes off to you for making it.

Congrats. Having gone back to school a few years ago and graduated this spring as a thirty-something, I know exactly where you are coming from. Make it gun related by going out and picking up something to celebrate. I decided to get myself a little something and a Henry .22 lever action with the octagon barrel followed me home. I call it my graduation gun.

I know what you mean about all the hot chicks. I went to my brothers campus at villanova which is rated 4th by playboy for most attractive women. They were everywhere. Congradulations!

Way to go. I finally got out of school last December after going on and off for ten years. The Kimber Stainless Target II was my graduation gift to myself. :D

    Congratulations!

A relative of mine (great guy) finally got his bachelor's a few years back, perhaps because he wanted to get it before either daughter enters college, which is about to happen for the older of the two.

Well--aged students are the most distinguished kind ;)

And believe me, even at 32 and in law school, I feel old -- but I'm sure not the oldest one around, though certainly the oldest unmarried on in my first-year section.

Do well with your new meal ticket ;)

Thanks everyone. My degree is "History, with an emphasis in Secondary Education". I actually am going to buy a celebratory gun, although as yet I am undecided. My best friend is going to an estate sale today where there are 2 M1A's being put up, along with a couple of Bushmasters. If I can get a good bargain, one of those M1A's might become mine. If not, I am thinking that it might be time to buy one of the less mainstream guns I have always wanted, like a Raging Hornet or a Ruger M77 in 6.5x55 Swede.

Well done!! No one know what it's like to go back to school after you have been out for a while unless you have done it. (I did in my late 20's) and I am glad I did. So congrats again.
