Just wanted to say that since I am in a different time zone, I set an alarm today to wake up and call my senators' offices in DC when they opened. Not that I am blowing my own horn, but if I, a liberal who lives 4,000 miles from DC can get up at 5 AM to do this, then I don't want to hear any excises from anyone else. Pour the pressure on.

Murkowski's a Republican and has spoken about the gun control debate, saying that the needs of many Americans aren't met with more gun control. I mostly called her office just because.

Begich is a Democrat, but has spoken even more strongly against further gun control efforts. I told the staff member that I spoke with that while I am pretty liberal and usually supportive of democratic points of view, I will vote against any candidate who doesn't support the Second Amendment. She said they have recieved a lot of calls about this and I pointed out that I specifically set an alarm to wake up early and call about this. I want them to know that we are committed.

I also called Harry Reid's office, but the phone just kept ringing. I want them to know that if gun control passes, I will throw even my own Democratic senator under the bus and vote Republican if it gives the chance to repeal unconstitutional legislation. I will try again later.

Way to go! I haven't called any of my reps but have written all of them including my Governor many times over the past month in opposition of further gun control and erosion of our Second Amendment Rights.

I have a good Senator, and a not so good. So I called the good one and attempted, 2 days in a row, to get to Mitch McConnel's office no-go.

Therefore left a message machine for R Paul as M McConnels colleague. I think R Paul would go to jail 1st before seeing the tear down of the Amendments

My Fed Rep signed the letter:)

Got a spam from Jim Mesina in the Executive camp suggesting I call my senators and representative to voice my support for gun control. I called, said Jim Messina told me call and stress my support. Told them I don't support it, they asked for my zipcode and likely tossed my note in the trash.

My senators do not care what I think. Chris Coons is new but is a liberal Democrat hungry for commitee appointments so he will go along with the gun ban proposals. Tom Carper introduced his own high capacity magazine ban legislation, and is a dedicated "Reasonable restrictions" gun ban advocate from way back. Joe Biden was our senator for 36 years and each time he was up for election I voted and campaigned against him. Delaware is Dominated by Blue Helmet Liberals.

I have called and written all of them, it does no good but I continue to do so.
