A tip of the old Stetson to ya miss lead.

You've come a long ways from "Confused female needs help" to a quite well informed and competent member of the shooting public.

Well done M'Lady!!

Ridiculously good shooting. That is better than I typically do, and I'm not bad.

Enjoy your carry permit.

Very good. A warning though, if you carry it enough you will feel uncomfortable without it. Wear it often, treat as an American Express of old. "Never leave home without it."
Congrats.

Sorry I got to this thread late but I'll add my congratulations now. That is very good shooting with a J frame. Keep on shooting because it's a diminishing skill. (and a heck of a lot of fun too)

I hadda aks a girlfieind for help! Besides, they is short words.

(Sad to say, I recall, not so long ago, people actually saying that seriously.)

LOL. I didn't think fast enough or I'd have answered exactly that!

It bugs me too, and is still very commonly heard around here - the deep south. And husbands are universally referred to as 'he'. Oh well. I don't suppose it's realistic to think everyone will ever be as perfect as us is.

Last edited by miss lead; Yesterday at 02:10 PM. Reason: Edited for punctuation - added a comma between "shooting" and "guys"!

Ha. Nobody ever actually tells why they edited and even fewer of us actually read the things. But thanks... I needed a laugh to start the day.

Thank you - it was beginner's luck, I'm afraid. Only my second time shooting that gun and only my third session of shooting a handgun ever.

Outstanding!
Thanks. It seemed very natural shooting the gun. I'm not sure why or even what I mean exactly.

Yes, good advice. One needs to keep proficient by practicing.

But...but...I thought my shooting was good BECAUSE of it being a J-frame. It's a very agreeable little firearm.

Judging by the loss of his chest, heart and lungs, I don't think the bad guy noticed his missing ear lobe. Nice shooting - and wearing your gun around the house while vacuuming is good exercise! hahahaha. Then again, if you're wearing a gun, you can convince someone else to vacuum for you!

Girls can't read maps!

You have to give verbal descriptions like: "Go past the counter with the clerk who has bad skin (no, the redheaded woman, not the pimply kid), then turn towards shoes and go until you see the rack that had the ugly square-toed shoes last fall, then veer off until you see the gay Asian guy in cosmetics and ask him to point towards...."

You now Got to do the Wally Walk.
Bwah!
Well I suppose I should at the very least see what their ammo department looks like.

wearing your gun around the house while vacuuming is good exercise!
And you know this to be true because .... you do it yourself? :p My experience has been that males have some difficulty with the operation of vacuum cleaners. I've noticed they can be pretty good completely disassembling, repairing, and reassembling an entire engine, transmission and brake system in their vehicle but set them behind a vacuum cleaner and they can't seem to find the ON button.

Girls can't read maps!

And guys REFUSE to look at them, and on top of that even if they've been going in circles for seventy-three hours they still will not stop and ask for help.

vacuum? Vacuums suck. Bags need changing.

I use a leaf blower!

Now if the kitchen just had a floor drain

And I am happy to use a map...that is why I don't HAVE to stop for directions

(now that you have your j frame and your carry permit you can safely stop for directions)

That goes back to our hunter/gatherer DNA. If we didn't keep wandering around aimlessly, we'd have never found a mastodon for the gals back at the cave to fry up.

Same target

That's good shooting, I have a target just like that at home. We must have had the same instructor. He is the only guy that I know of that uses that target. I may be wrong thought. If not, you picked a great instructor. I work with him teaching a course called Women on Target. It is a NRA thing, I teach the archery class for him. There is a class in July at our club. Your target looks a little more centered and may be even smaller(hard to tell on the small screen)
Mine was shot with a Sig 9mm. My instructor is a glock man. I didn't hold it against him.
