between a Uberti Dragoon and the 1860 Army. I have an 1858 NMA Remington and think what I need is the big horse pistol belching 40 grains of black powder smoke. But then the 1860 has those classic lines and is such a smooth draw. Can you convince me either way?

Nope. They're entirely different guns. It comes down to personal choice and no way can I decide that for you.

Well, on a long enough time line, the natural and sensible thing to do of course, is to acquire and have and shoot a nice Remington, a nice Colt 1860 Army, and, a nice Dragoon, and a nice WALKER, and, a nice...and to have a safe place to keep them when not in use.

Etc...

The actual order in which one does so, is of little concern.

My sequence was...Dragoon...Walker...1860 Army...Remington New Model...and another Dragoon.

If I could only have one, to carry and use in all possible circumstances for SD and whatever else, it'd probably be the Remington New Model .44 though, with the Colt 1860 Army 2nd, even though I love them all very much.
