My example is much more pleasant in the hand after stripping the bolt and polishing the major diameter to 400grit on a flat plate. That large high-contact-area bolt body is very smooth in the action after this treatment.

Also be sure to admire the clever design of the lug camming surfaces. . . some enginerd had fun on that.

I have the ranch in 300 BLK ( a real joy suppressed with subs) and a predator in 6.5. Both excellent rifles. I would have one in 223 but I have a Mossberg MVP thunder ranch in that caliber. I am seriously considering the RAR ranch in 7.62 x 39 as a plinker.

I keep thinking of the .450 BM
But with the weather changing and my headache it about makes me puke, thinking of shooting anything.
Let alone a boomer.

If I sell my #1 I'll have some other rifle money LOL.
I was too out of it to try for a doe this afternoon/eve.

Web surfing gonna stop soon enough. Gonna have to go to bed.
Buddy has the .450 in a Magpul stock.........and he hasn't even shot it yet.
Don't think hed let me be the one to fire the first (dangit).

Like to try one.

Congrats..... Those are nice! I'd love to have a 7.62x39 model. Fondled one at a gun show over a year ago (pre-covid) and almost bought it on the spot. Wish I would have snagged it. The way things are presently I probably couldn't even find one if I wanted to.

I saw a 7.62x39 at a LGS right after the first stimulus checks went out. I ended up with a different gun at the time, but I regret not grabbing it
