I don't mind people who disagree, but when they just refuse to think at all...

The, "I'm just a comedian" defense.

Pointed out an error in reasoning (claimed that crime went down in states where people were allowed to carry because the population when down, I corrected him saying that crime went down on a per-capita basis) and the guy goes nuts. Is this what we have to look forward to? People with absolutely no willingness at all to look at both sides? I don't mind someone disagreeing, that's all well and good, but for pete's sake, at least look at the information that's out there. :banghead:

Link sucks. Starts runs for a few seconds then stops for a minute then runs a few seconds.

You might want to try dialing your ISP again and see if you can connect to a 56k line.

Reading any Youtube comment section, gun related or otherwise, makes me weep for the future of humanity.

/Is our childrens learning?

Yes the children are learning, but they are not learning anything useful.

It ain't just about guns & crime - try to bring up any anti global warming info and you'll be crucified as an infidel and a no-nothing. They are right and you are an idiot. Nobody can disagree anymore.

Unfortunately this is the way that ALL discourse is going today. There is a general attitude that all issues need to be framed in terms of "right" and "wrong", and a refusal to admit that your position might not be well thought out, or even *gasp* the wrong one. The whole "Red state/Blue state" thing is typical of how our society has devolved the concept of "debate" down to "you're stupid"--"no, you're stupid". This inflexibility and unwillingness to actually HEAR other people's points is our growing weakness, and may be our ultimate downfall.

Guns and global warming, show me real facts and I will discuss either. Don't try to baffle me with bull that were all melting and guns are killing us all befor we can melt.

my post

"I really don't care what you specifically think about them or me. Scouts honor."

Ahh but you do! Otherwise you wouldn't have posted this bunk for people to watch. You know, the blood flowing in the streets has also never happened despite you and your ilk's prophecies, when states passed concealed weapons laws.

Remember Cain used an uzi to kill Abel right? People find ways to kill each other but since we can't ban morons and crazies why not blame an inanimate object? sigh. Liberals...

Wow, he doesn't seem to know that guns are not responsible, a gun itself will not kill anybody (unless a gun can make it's own decisions, i'll come back on this later :scrutiny:), the real weapon is the human being behind the gun, that's it, that's all.
A lot of people can "kill other people" without using a gun, that is what I call the human machine.
Man I need to stop watching youtube's anti-gun noobs, makes me crazy... .. .. ... maybe not. :banghead:

I just posted up as rushthebunker. You guys are right... sometime it is just too entertaining to resist. :)

I would say that things are just the opposite. With the way that people think today, there is no right or wrong. The Constitution no longer means anything. Four Supreme Court Justices now believe it to be a "living" document that can be misinterpreted however they please. So much emphasis is place on "opinion" and not on reality/truth. The truth exists whether or not we believe it and that's the way it will always be.

There is a right and a wrong. Gun control is wrong, plain and simple. It doesn't work. We need to convince other people of that, but we need to respect them and this means listening to them. Otherwise, they will not give us a chance to explain ourselves and we will get nowhere.

We've also got to move away from the approach that anti-gun = liberal. Not only does it inflame the argument; it's also a misnomer.

It's actually the pro-2A stance that is the more liberal. Peg the Democrats for what they are: anti-gun fascists. They want to control and restrict and prohibit; exactly the same things they say about conservatives in regards to controversial issues such as sex-ed, gay marriage, and abortion.

On the gun rights front, we're the liberals!

What do we want? Freedom!

When do we want it? Now!

Yeah, everybody loves a comedian.

I like how he immediately likens gun owners to people that "have something to hide." We, the gun owners, were here first. I'm pretty sure we can get the British to testify of that fact. Why should we hide anything?

Wes

I actually thought that was a funny joke.
Oleg could always do a picture with some angry redcoats
going dam we just didn't implement gun control fast enough:evil:
or better yet liberal gun control types being rounded up be redcoats and the motto
"WERE BACK
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK"

Very much like the situation with the slavery question in 1860, just before South Carolina seceded and then bombarded Fort Sumter. We all know what happened after that. I'm more sure than ever that something like it is going to happen again, and soon.
