I went to my favorite range because they received a 10mm Glock 40, I was going in to buy it.

Well, while I was there another gentleman was attempting to sell a Para USA Elite LS Hunter in 10mm. This gun has been on my grail list for years!!

    And with Para's coming demise:

Very nice! I've always wanted a Longslide myself.

That thing looks like a killing machine. You should be able
to get rid of all the chipmonks in your yard. You won't even
have to dispose of them. After you hit them they will float
    away with the breeze.

Congratulations. I wish my old hands could handle a 10mm. Please give us a range report.

Color me jealous. Great score on a really neat looking gun in a similarly neat caliber.

Remington purchased Para and they are going to dismantle the company.

    Too cool!

Looks like it wants a Docter, Aimpoint or the like up top.

    Kill me some javelinas!

Range Report: 10mm Para Elite LS Hunter & my former student with his 9mm BHP

Range Report: 10mm Para Elite LS Hunter & my former student with his BHP and his new 380 ACP Browning 1911.

BTW, the range had these new pink targets and I really like them. You can see impacts perfectly.

The Para had less recoil than a traditional 5" 1911 in 45ACP and it digested 300 180 grain Armscor FMJs without issue. I never even shot the 627 as I was having too much fun with the 10mm.

I also bumped into a student of mine shooting his 9mm BHP and his 380 Browning Black Label. I am really proud of him. He really took to the sport and he has practiced steadily and he is getting really good. Its a great feeling. He had never touched a gun before and now he is keeping every shot in a 6 inch Shoot-N-C.

BTW, I really like the Browning 380 1911.

So did you end up getting the Glock 40 too?

Nope, just the Para. The Glock 40 is still on the list but it will have to wait.

Are the finger grooves just part of the grips or are they part of the frame?

Neither, they are Pearce finger groove inserts. They go under the grips of your choice.
