I got caught looking at "Evil" gun porn on THR . From the grapevine I heard the girl behind me was worried about me coming in and "going postal" I'm addicted to THR, I have an IT desk job and I find myself constantly on here looking at gun porn and gaining knowledge. Anyone else have my addiction?

Not me. I hardly ever spend time around guns or surfing gun boards.

Whoops. The "not" above is in the wrong place; move it six words or so further to the right. :uhoh:

I'm not addicted. I can quit anytime I want. Besides, everyone is doing it.

    ME ...

I usually check in a few times a day here in my office. I work with mostly guys (try finding a woman in the network support group of a major telecom). Everyone here knows I have this addiction and they try to help me deal with it ..... the ask me questions like "Should I pay over $500 for a Glock17?", "What Remington Wingmaster models were made during the '60s"? or "Who out there is carrying a CZ75 and what holster do they IWB with?"

Nice helpful questions like that ...

No problem where I work, I work in a secured access Data Center.

My boss, who is a lady, even saw myself and one of our co-workers swapping AK and AR-15 mags. :what: Didn't phase her in the least. :D

One of the other ladies caught me perusing THR one day, and started asking about the different handguns that were pictured. Nope, no problem where I work!

    :D

I work retail in a small town. I have allot of time on my hands to surf THR. In fact I am on THR for 3-4 hours per day. It is amazing how much reading you can get done when you have half a day to do it.

Gun porn? Hell, I usually shout, "Dude you gotta come see this <insert gun name>!" down the hallway. I guess its not that big a deal at my work...
    :D

I should probably do it less than three times a day though... :uhoh:

The advent of increased network security kept me from many of my favorite websites while at work. Turned out that the security program they use "classifies" sites and THR fell into one of the classifications (Mature Chat I think) that were not allowed.

With some experimentation I found an alternate address for THR (don't use the "WWW") and now I can get on. Most people at my office know that I am a gun enthisiast I just don't push it at work.

Yeah I get caught all the time, but I work for the Army so I can pass it off as work-related "research". :) Plus my cube-mate shoots recreationally on occassion as well.

You should have a good understanding of the environment you work in.

I have gone so far as to read certain gun forums and video game forums with the pictures turned off (Internet Options/Advanced) so as to not get any suprises (one board I was on had an epidemic for a while where an exploit would make lots of gay porn pop up on your PC - NOT GOOD!).

I am a General Access Computer Lab Operator (GACL) at the Univeristy of Arkansas. I havent had any one shriek with horror, yet. I generally spend 3/4 of my shifts surfing THR, because unless something happens in the lab (printer needs paper, user needs help, internet crashes, computer spontaneously combusts, or I have to go "Office Space" on a printer ;) ), I sit at a computer. Life is good.

i changed my settings to never display images posted in THR, but rather they are a hyperlink. so i can check if the coast is clear before looking at some fine "artistic" photography.

but even then its risky. my office manager wears Ninja shoes/clothing. i cant hear her approaching.
