My House representative Dennis Moore (D), who has consistantly voted anti-gun, sent me the document (at taxpayers expense of course) "CRS Issue Brief for Congress: Gun Control Legislation in th 108th Congress" with a note attached: "I thought the attached might be of interest to you." Printed on recycled paper, with soy ink. He could have used email. For those of you who want a copy of the document it's order code IB10112 with the Library of Congress. Haven't checked if it's available online.
Doesn't really say anything we don't already know but the author: William J, Krouse, Domestic Social Policy Devision, did a good job of being balenced and sticking to facts. Much better than the media ever manages.
I've written Mr. Moore in the past regarding issues including 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Obviously he's trying to score brownie points for the upcoming elections. Sorry Dennis. Too little, too late. You shouldn't have been letting HGC dictate your policy.
