Cosmoline, Wow you must really have a strong grip. I tried that but it kept falling to the floor before I could snap the shot :)

My current go-to home defense rifle, in its tacticool glory:

Cosmoline, I was gonna post something smart about overpenatration, but, remembering the background of your Swiss 1911/bicycle combo pics, I'm guessing hitting neighbors ain't a worry for you:)

Back to the topic at hand...
Two of my Mosins.....

It's a standard Tikka front sight. A little higher than the standard M-91.

I was on my back at the time, so gravity helped me. I was trying to get the whole rifle in the frame, but that's not easy with a 52" monster.

My favorite M-39, a Civil Guard marked that was issued to a left-handed shooter judging by the grime patterns on the stock.

Plus a bunch more I don't have pics of.

Yeah, he sleeps in the shed cause his mom won't let him in the house with those nasty dead birds :)

Vaarok, I'm going to guess that L to R, No. 1, 4, 6, and 8 are US made M-91's. No. 5 is Finn'ed

I actually lived in that shed for awhile when I was off grid. It's still up at the Willow compound, under the former roommate management. It's used for tools now. Got mighty cold at times, but I learned how to construct a very nice bed out of old army blankets. You can see part of it. Crude, but fun. I could make dinner on the high powered propane tripod outside and then watch DVD's on the little TV running off a honda 2000. I once shot five or six squirrels in a single morning, all without getting out of bed. I nailed them with the CZ out my open door as one after another came to claim the territory the previous one had just given up.

My little 91/30 after a workout. 64 years old and she can still take out those swine.

Finnish M-39 by VKT. Built to superior quality from a Russian Mosin in 1941.

My Romanian M44 before:

Same gun with an Advanced Technologies synthetic stock, S&K mount, and a Leupold 2.5x28mm LER scope. No permanent changes to the gun so I can return it to stock if I ever desire:

:uhoh: Please don't laugh at the rests setup... I was lazy, at an odd angle to my target, and on uneven ground... it worked though.
