MY LOCAL GUN SHOP HAS A P229 THAT IS PRACTICALLY NEW(98%) IN 40S&W THAT I AM THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING AT LUNCH TIME. THE GUN COMES WITH 2 CLIPS, A NEW GALCO PANCAKE HOLSTER, A GALCO MAG HOLDER, AND A FOBUS DOUBLE MAG POUCH. IT ALSO HAS ADJUSTABLE MMC SIGHTS INSTALLED ON IT. THE DEALER ONLY WANTS 500.00 DOLLARS FOR THE ENTIRE PACKAGE. IS THIS AS GOOD OF A DEAL AS I THINK??

I think it's a good deal. The Galco alone was probably $80. Are the mags (not clips) 12 rounders or 10.

Great gun, great price. Go for it.

    Its a magazine, not a clip. ;)

Hey, the oldies here made me say "magazine" 10 times while I stood in the corner of the room when I was new and said "clip"....

I thought I was being easy on the guy

I also agree that it sounds like a good deal. I know you rated it 98%, but did you strip it and look it over real close? If not go back and see if you see anything out of the ordinary. If it looks good at that point, buy it!
