All,

This past Thanksgiving I broke the stock on my Browning BBR in 270. It has taken me this long to talk about it!!! I almost cried when I realized I had broken the stock.:( This gun was 30 years old and if you saw it you would have thought it was purchased yesterday brand new. Not only did it look great but it shot fantastic as well. I reload and have been able to get groups of less than 3/4 inch with it.

So now to the issue. I need to get a new stock for it and since the original is now broken any real value for this rifle is pretty much gone as well. So I was thinking about getting a stock with a thumb hole? Does anyone have any knowledge using one of these for a caliber as big as 270? What do you think?

I also want to get a stock with swivels for the sling instead of the type of that come on BBRs as this is why the stock broke to begin with. I turned sharply and the top T hook popped out and the gun hit the ground.:fire::cuss:

I have looked online and no one even seems to have the originals. There are a couple of places that advertise them but they are always out.

How much would it cost to get a custom stock for this rifle?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
