I want a Freedom Arms revolver in either .41 or .44 magnum.
I am trying hard to fight the urge to buy one.

I need help. Talk me out of it. :banghead:

Had one... in .454 Cas.

If you can afford it, and if it won't cause martial problems, what is the problem? They are worth the money.

You'll probably have to get rid of something else you like to get it, then you'll regret it the rest of your life. If you can buy it without doing this, however, go ahead and get it. You'll always be able to get what you paid for it and do some shooting with it, to boot.

If you want arguments not to buy guns, go visit an anti-gun site. Funny, though, there don't seem to be any. They probably know guys like up would show up and whip 'em in debates.

Ummm...why do you need a .44 mag anyway. Unless you're a hunter, get a good .357.

Cheers.

The last 4 handguns I bought I used the I know I'll sell such and such handgun for justification. . Haven't sold any yet.
The point being buy it and pretend you will sell another.
I agree wrong forum for support to not buy a gun.

Okay John. Just send the money for Freedom Arms revolver to me and then you won't be able to buy the gun. I would force myself to spend the money on a new gun or reloading press even though I really don't want anything new. I know you would do the same for me. :)

Good shooting and be safe.

The problem is that you'll bring it home and hate yourself every time you look at it. You need to buy it to scratch that itch, then give it to me for safekeeping. :D

You are welcome.

Seriously though, I want the same gun, and in time I'll have it. If you are struck with the gotta-have-its I sympathize. That's how I buy most of my guns.

Okay, that's how I buy all of them anymore... :uhoh:

I'm not very good at this. :(

Same as MCgunner, only reason I'm not buying one is cashflow. It seems to flow the wrong way. :D

Note the past tense!!!

I had (past tense) one. :( Had to let it go years back to a richer man. For me, I'm just sticking with what I have.

JohnL2. Stop right there... think for a second man. Cool down. Take a deep breath.

$1600 - $2000 for a 5 round, hand fitted, as close to mechanical perfection as you can get, made in America, single action revolver in either 4-5/8", 6", 7-1/2" or 10" barrel???

Are you crazy??? :D

Something that'll outlast you and that your kids can fight over once you've gone onto the great range in the sky???

A revolver that's designed to shoot up to a .500 Wyoming Express level of Ohmygawd power so you'll be able to load up a wimpy .44 magnum if you really really want to???

Don't do it man.

The next thing you know, you'll be mainlining, taking the next step up, which'll take you into the world of handmade totally custom Bowens and Linebaughs, make-your-friends-green-with-envy and your spousal unit scream sorta handgun works of art.

Then what'll you think you have to own next? A matching pair in a custom made hand tooled leather holster? Hmmmm

That way lies madness JohnL2. :scrutiny:

Save up and buy a pair. One in each caliber. You can eat ramen noodles for a year.

I wanted a Python once upon a time.

I now have... Well, actually, I've recently acquired my... Gosh! One or two Pythons. Yeah. That's it. Just a couple. Heck, I'm not sure I'd even remember how many I have. Not that many, really.

Aw hec, why fight it? I LOVE functional works of art.

Baba Louie, you are a very cruel man.

Thanks for the link babbalouie. They are sweet guns.
I thought freedom arms was out of business I have a 4 shot 22mag. Guess they just stopped making them.

I did not need to see another model out of my price bracket that will make me feel the deadly sin of envy.
JohnL if you have the money and it won't damage your life, no rent, no groceries, make the S/O pack up and leave, I can't help you. those are extemely nice guns.

I would say man up and buy the 454, shoot 45 colt as plinkers and have the artillery rounds available for when that african buffalo or hippo gets loose from the game park on the edge of town.

Personally I have shot a .44 and a .454 and the .44 remains the single most accurate handgun i have ever shot. Owner had a 3x scope on it and I was able to consitently put 5 rounds into 1.5 or 2 inches at 100 yards. THe gun was far more accurate than my aiming ability. It was as well made as a Rolex.

if you can afford to miss the house payment one month, buy one.

Buy one in .44 and have fun. When you get old and grey give it to your kid and he can have fun,and he can give it to his kid, and on and on and on.:neener:
