duplicate. ooops.
Maybe but.....
I can see many who posted and didnt vote for the OP
So hopefully the thread makes people on the high road aware of the contest and like many here they vote for the one they like the best
And none of the other contestants belong to any gun forums and have members of those forums supporting them? Not maybe... definitely. OP posts thread, has people voting daily, moves into first place. It's pretty simple really. Justify and rationalize all you want, but the results are skewed because of this thread.
Generally I don't bother with things like this. However, I did find this one interesting with some of the entries along the lines of my taste. I liked Gary's entry and thus have been supporting it. I also like the entries by Chris and Tyler but have leaned towards Gary's entry. I am not supporting Gary's entry simply because he asked for support or because he happens to be a THR member. For my taste there are several entries that show what I see as creativity and some thinking that went into them.Maybe we should take a poll for this thread on if the thread made you aware of the contest and you voted for the op because it was the best design in your opinion, or whether you voted for him because he influneced you. I would find it silly to do but hey, I have a feeling we would find that some people really do like his design and some people get hurt by contestants not breaking the rules of the contest.?

That's something that really became popular in 2008.You can vote once per day. Not sure I understand the rationale behind allowing this.
Yep, I also voted for Robert in Vermonts M1 carbine in the "Best of the rest".One nice benefit of the "one vote per day" rule is that you could throw a vote or two someone else's way as a nod to their design if you want.
I'm happy Gary is winning and I really do like his design best overall out of all finalists. There are some other good designs out there too. I thought the M1 Carbine style rifle in the "best of the rest" bunch was pretty neat also.
Tyler- Washington- Close, I love the wood, but that many accessories make the gun more expensive and targets the upper end of the curve.
Chris- Tennessee- Another one I actually Like, but going that way with the multiple fore-ends pushes the price higher, and targets a different market.
Try right clicking on one of the squares and see if you don't see an option to "Download Pictures". How images on web sites are viewed is a function of the browser settings.I have tried yesterday and today to look at the link the OP posted and all I get is a page with a bunch of blank squares on it and little X's in the corners. Same thing when I went to the ruger site.
You must be on Obama's site.It is letting me vote twice a day.
