I REALLY tried to hate the Glock 27, but couldn't.

Took my parents out behind my neighbors farm for some target shooting, point shooting, and shooting from retention. (Also to try out their new Rem 870 to see how mom tolerated the recoil with Fed 00 reduced recoil/limbsaver butt pad....she did great)

I surprised dad by bringing the 1911 (he has only shot 1911's a few times since he was in the service...in the 1980's when I had one that I sold to pay for books) His eyes lit up and he shot the whole session with the 1911, and kicked ass doing it! He handed me his ccw weapon, the Glock 27.

I was fully expecting to not like it...but the darn thing is very accurate, cheap, and really has minimal recoil. SO...the old man may be getting a Kimber over the next few weeks. Not sure if I'll get the 27...but damn, that's nice power in a light/compact little ccw package. I still couldn't resist razzing the old man that I have a load of dishes to run, and offered to just run the glock on the top rack :neener:

The sub-compact Glocks are nice weapons for their intended purposes. They are great in any caliber, but I like the 26 (9mm) the most. Much more fun to shoot than the 27, and I've owned both. :)

Absolutely, it's a Glock. I loved my G26 until I started carrying the G19 more often. Not that much of a size difference with more mag capacity.

I love my Glock 36. I want the G26 as well, but my SR9c is roughly the same size. Glock Subcompacts are very reliable handguns.

I like the G26; carry one daily. Don't care for the G27 or any of the other .40 Glocks.

I think the G26 I have is the greatest firearm I own.

I just shot a steel match the other day and finished 2nd, only 1 sec behind 1st! And 30 seconds in front of 3rd!

Fantastic weapon.

The 26 is the only 9mm I'll ever need. What's not to like?

Want to stuff it IWB or in the pocket? 10-round magazine. Want to keep it at home for HD? Throw the 19-round mag from the 17 and a grip adapter, and you've got a full-sized grip.

Only thing better would be a 33 in .357 Sig with a 9mm barrel.
