LOL we ARE the opposite, I traded in my Glocks for Sigs after I bought a Sig p229 and shot it beside the Glock 31 I had been shooting and my POI instantly went on-target with the Sig. The Ergonomics matched the S&W revolvers and 1911's I was shooting and was used to. If you only shoot Glocks you can probably adapt but if you shoot various other guns with regularity, IMHO the ergonomics throw you off.

Hmm, interesting I switch between Glocks and 1911's just about every range session and have no problems doing so. Also, if you put an arched mainspring housing on a 1911 you have the same grip angle as Glock.

One of my 1911's has an arched housing all my others do not and still no problems.

All this talk of slim single stacks. I guess some of you were never alive when the "Clinton ban" was around in 1994-2004. All mags over 10 rds were banned. I only have one single stack gun other than a 1911. I'll stick with my double stacks any day over these newer single stacks. You never know when the double stacks will be banned again, ESPECIALLY like now , the last few days ,,,,,,,,.

Most of these guys are old farts and were personal friends with John M. Browning. I'm pertty sure they remember the days of the Clinton Assault Weapons Band and the stupid high prices of high cap mags.

Most of my simi auto handguns are double stack, but sometimes a slimmer gun is an advantage when it comes to conceal carry.

I had a 43x and ultimately got a Gen5 26 instead. I liked the G43X in ways, it was thin and felt good in the hand, but from a shootability perspective, the G26 shoots softer and holds the same number of rounds in a shorter grip. The G43X has about the same grip length as a G19 and I like to pocket carry so the longer grip of the G43X was a bit of an issue, whereas I don't have that issue with the G26. So not only does the G26 conceal easier and shoot easier, it also accepts the +2 OEM mag extension and the larger G19/17 mags, which is a huge plus in terms of carrying back up mags. The G43X/48 can only use one magazine, that's it.

Still loving my 43X, and today I received a Shield +4 mag. Off to the range tomorrow to see if I now have a dedicated back-up mag. If I ever need more than 25 rounds of 9mm I have a bigger problem than any pistol will ever solve.

***Put about 100 rounds through the Shield +4 and it ran 100%. Worthwhile addition if any of you were looking for a few more rounds.

Well hello from one "old timer" to another ha ha ! . Hopefully the 10 rd mag thing never happens again. I have been buying a mag for my Glock 17 each month for a while now so I am stocked up. I have a Ruger LCPII that is very slim and fits in my front pocket but it's always nice to have a high cap full size pistol to wear when my wife and me go out of town or go out for a long time. When working on cars and going to and from the parts store , I wear the Ruger.

I like my 43 .... AIWB . Its hard to beat .

If I go bigger its my 27 , which is my main carry @ 180gr HST
