I think I'm on a big-bore snubbie phase.

I really did try to like the charter arms bulldog 44 spl, but they just don't hold up to moderate shooting with factory ammo.
The big-bore Charters are like the Star PD 45s. Guns that Jeff Cooper said were to be carried a lot, but not heavily shot. But the nice thing about Charter, they have a lifetime warranty. So, no-matter what, they'll fix it.

Yeah. I didn't like paying shipping both ways and waiting over a month for a return. I didn't realize 75-100 rounds per month was shooting them too much.

Yeah, I had a couple of the early ones. One blued and one stainless. I enjoyed shooting them and only used factory or factory equivalent handloads. I really liked the stainless one, but it started locking up in DA. I had a local gun shop return it to CA a few times, and after the last time it was returned from being 'repaired', I took it out of the box and dry-fired it. I couldn't get all the way through the 5-charge holes before it locked up solid. I'd had enough and wanted to know what the shop would offer me for it on trade. They had a bored gunsmith in the back room who was willing to tinker with it as a project gun, so they gave me a fair deal on another gun (not another CA). Dunno what the current iteration of the company's guns are like, but those two early BG's soured me on them.

Snubby? Years ago I bought a rather used (mostly finish) S&W M1917. I felt it would be a better hideout arm, so I cut off the barrel and reset the front sight. That is a large bore snubby.

Later, I found and bought a commercial S&W model 25. It had previously been shortened to about four inches, and refinished - professionally. But that one is a belt gun, not a hideout sort.

Just had a Big Bore Snub day with .460 V - 2th shortest they make. So it’s a Snub in that category. Huge FIREBALL and recoil for DAYS. Getting better with the gun. 10 yards pie plate size grouping.

It hurts to shoot more than 20 rounds but is better than coffee

When they make it without the lock, I'll buy one.

Well, for a very long while, I've had an original large frame Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt. Mine looks just like this.

Then I went and got me a 1970s production Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special and just recently acquired a Rossi Model 441 (really it is just a rebadged Taurus Tracker M44C) in .44 Magnum.

Well, now I want a Charter Arms Bulldog XL in .45 Colt.

I can stop any time. Really, I can.
Has anyone found a holster for the Rossi 441? I am not interested in custom leather for it and can’t seem to find anything. I thought I knew how to find things. I have tried looking for holsters for the Taurus M44C 2” and that hasn worked either.

My L-Frame holster works for it.

The Rossi 441 is a Taurus M44C 2".

Well, I ordered the .45 Colt.

Oh MY...I love that 3 inch 629 there. It is just fantastic! I have a 629 Mtn Gun with the light .44 special type barrel but would prefer a 3 inch full weight barrel like that one has.
