    And I am thinking Andy Horvath may very well have done this ". Low end " .44 spec. Conversion . I just pulled the nicely fitted but slick rosewood grips and fitted these Osage Orange Bear Paw grips and found ALH signed on both sides of frame under grips. Also the factory barrel appears to be relined and the other little tweaks to cylinder indicate Horvath's work along with the machined area with (.44 Special) this was his basic rechamber package . The Bowen rear sight and his own front sight were options back in the mid 80s when he had become rather well know for his "little gun" conversions to bigger calibers.
