I Voted!

I voted Bush/Cheney.

Take THAT !, John Kerry, Tort Boy, George Soros, Michael Moore, Osama Bin Laden, Dan Rather, Hollywood, Sierra Club, Leatherman Tools, Dixie Twits, and anybody else trying to steal my vote.

Just back from the polls, my wife, MIL and I voted straight R with one exception, for our local MO rep, who happens to be a dem (a life NRA member and prolife.) Also voted no on all judges appointed by the last two dem Govs.

Will be a HUGE turnout for the vote today, based on my polling place....

We usually arrive just before 6:30AM, when polls open, so that Mrs. Foggy & I are in the first 5 or so to vote. TODAY, though...

Arrive at polling place @ 6:10AM [nearby elementary school]. There are already people screaming & cursing about parking spaces....actually, the lack thereof.

We go inside, and are #'s 70 & 71 in line. There are 3 precints voting in the same place, as usual. By the time we sign in, vote and leave, at 6:55AM, there are over 350 in line, along with much more 'name calling and ancestry tracing' over the lack of parking sapces, and to "Traffic Cop" to control the flow.

We were

the first to the polls this morning. It just happens to be on the other side of the parkinglot from my apartments. Bush/Cheney. And I had the pleasure of voting no on retaining most of our judges.

Or respectively, to your party.

I don't have a party. I'm unaffiliated, and vote for for whomever best represents my views.

In '08, if the GOP (or DNC, for that matter) fields a candidate who believes in individual liberty, free market economics, and the Constitution and Bill of Rights, then he or she will have my vote.

I personally find it disgraceful that we've been offerered the choices we have by the Dems and Repubs this year.

Voted Bush/Cheney within ten minutes of the Polls opening. Not very crowded when I was there (although moreso than in the past). Absolutely HORRID weather in Seattle today too.

Took care of my duty at 0655 hrs! Straight Republican other than a protest vote against a pretty dippy county commissioner who's sold his soul to local developers. :barf:

FWIW,

emc

Just got back from voting

This is the largest turn out I've ever seen, been voting since 1984. Wait was about an hour. No yelling, screaming or the like. Polite conversation I could see the Elemetary kids doing the same thing in thier election. This was the first year an ID was required. No issues there.

Straight Libertarian down the line, 'cept for one State Rep. where it as R as no L ran. Little chance of Badnarik winning, but the same was said about a band of uppity Colonials defeating the King's forces. :D

I just voted

I went in and voted for Bush/Cheney today. I had a Bush/Cheney sweatshirt on, and the old man serving as an election judge told me to turn my sweatshirt inside-out. I told him that wasn't going to happen. I can't believe the nerve of these Democrats! I bet if it was a Kerry shirt they would have just smiled...... Oh well, they didn't do anything after I walked away with my ballot. Was i just disenfrachised?????

Voted Bush. Voted lib everywhere else applicable (and that was actually quite a few spots). Repub most other places, except for Sheriff - voted against Arpaio. Voted "No" on most of the judges. Voted "no" against some politicos getting a 14k raise. Voted yes on 200 - ID required for voting.

I held my nose and voted Bush. I hate him, but I hate Kerry more. I must say though, I don't feel good about it.

If Bush takes it, he had better come out swinging for our side. If he pulls one on us like his daddy did, I will never vote for a Republican for POTUS again. Period.

I personally find it disgraceful that we've been offerered the choices we have by the Dems and Repubs this year.

That is just how I feel... Disgusting.

*sigh*

I spent a lot of time thinking on risk/benefit weighing the horror Kerry would visit on the 2nd and our national security, plus expansion of gov't on health care and other issues if he got in, vs Bush's infringing on the 1st and expansion of gov't.

In the end I decided that the best option was to help get Bush back in as opposed to a Badnarik vote, to continue our progress on 2nd restoration, hopeful appointment of 2nd friendly Justices, and avoiding Kerry's socialist plans. I decided with Bush we would get progress on the RKBA, for a trade off on possible 1st infringement. I figure the public will be far less tolerant of 1st/4th Amendment trashing than 2nd, resulting in probably more gain than loss. Basically, I decided it would be easier to minimize Bush damage than possible Kerry damage if he got in.

With such a close election, and so much at stake for the future, I voted Bush/Cheney, as much as I wanted to pull the Libertarian lever. I hope I don't regret this strategic decision on my first ever Presidential vote. :(

I don't really think you can fault anyone who voted Republican/Libertarian in this election. I understand both stances.

election judge told me to turn my sweatshirt inside-out.
That's not a Democrat/republican thing. I didn't see signs at my polling place this time, but I clearly recall signs last time that prohibited any kind of campaign anything, including signs, buttons, and shirts inside the building. I don't know if that's a federal thing, or if it goes by state, but I have seen it before.
