Posted on another thread looking for an upgrade to my 10m target rifle. Someone recommended a Feinwerkbau 601.
Now I want one.

I have a couple of the older FWB spring piston guns, a 300S Universal rifle and a 65 pistol. They were expensive but I don't regret what I spent on them. Not at all.

I half have my eyes open waiting for the right deal on a PCP of the FWB, Anshutz or Steyr quality- oreven a field target version :p

I had a heavily used FWB 300s and it was pretty awesome.

Sadly I had not shot my 601 for a while... I dug her out of the safe over the weekend along with my first adult air rifle from 43 years or so back- and ARH HW 50m... I shot bot and man that FWB is still so nice... I need to shoot it more... as well as that HW50 that started me in this madness- I always wanted the target rifles since reading the ARH and Beeman catalog from all those years ago :) The 601 was one I sought out after finding airgun forums so many uears ago ... bypassed the 300 to get it and dont regret that at all... but one day I will find the right 300 and get it too :)

I've had a 300s since I was 12-13, (58 now) incredibly accurate. Cant remember the last time I pulled it out of the safe, thanks for reminding me it's there. Might have to dust it off and take a few shots.

Have you tried minisniping?
9mm cases at 35 yards equals a torso at 1300 and some.

I've put a bug buster scope on my 300S and it's a hoot.
I'm thinking of making small wind flags.

Sooooo many available ... too bad they're all overseas.
300, 600, 601, 602, 603's
Got on some overseas air gun websites / classifieds.
So many options, just wouldn't trust the transaction / shipping if possible.

It is a nice air rifle. I have one. It isn't one that lends itself to being scoped if you want to do that.

Says who? They make a shorter loading gate and mounts- or ya can cut your loading gate down... I know because I bought a short loading gate for mine- haven't installed it yet but I have it just in case :p

Been using a rws 75 for a couple decades now.
Me too. Got mine 34 years ago, back in 1986. Had it refurbished once. Really like using that rifle!

Back then, I would have loved to get a FWB 300S or 601, but I didn't have that kind of money. But probably any of those dual piston rifles are beautiful shooting guns.

I didn't say you couldn't. I have the short gate conversion also in a box somewhere along with a spare set of seals. With a bright light I can still see. ;)

That's not funny.
I even emailed the person I bought it from to make sure he didn't have a FWB he was ready to post. He said he hasn't had one in a while but the Walther should do me well. Gun look like new. Now the wait, it's coming from the Netherlands.

I thought I just saw 3 fwb 601's listed at some collage in Wisconsin that disbanded their air rifle team... they were like 299.00? Just kidding! I am sorry I could not help myself- at 300 bucks I would have grabbed 2 and offered ya one! but funny or not ya know that is how things work! buy a second choice then BAM!!! We all have been there! Enjoy your new gun!

That's a nice looking 603. $1300 is a little steep for that gun though. Saw a nice 601 Miester grade on an air gun site for $900 last night.
