I could go on but are we doing unpopular opinions, or what’s the central theme here? I went with unpopular but truthful opinions.

I'd rather have a 1911 than a Glock
I'd rather have a CZ than a Sig
I'd rather have a Mossberg than a Remington
I'd rather have a Hi-point than a Colonoscopy

I would rather have a .454 that also shoots 45 Colt than a 44 mag that also shoots .44
I would rather have an older car that runs good than a newer hybrid or electric car that gets good gas mileage but I can't work on
I would rather have another 9mm PCC than another 5.56 AR-15 (at least today, that might change tomorrow)
I would rather have more primers than I need than more brass than I need

I would rather have a day in the woods with my kids than a day doing just about anything else.

I would rather have blued steel and wood than shiny and plastic.

I would rather have plenty of practice and confidence in my shot placement ability than all of the arguments about ballistic specs.

I prefer to have plenty of meat in the freezer than not enough.

I'd rather have a Glock than any other handgun.

I'd rather have a bolt than a lever.

I'd rather have a semi auto than a bolt or lever.

I'd rather say "I'd" than say "I would."

I'd rather have Made In The USA than any where else. (yes that means USA made Glocks)

There's no central theme, it's just for fun. Some cool responses here.
One I've recently learned:
I'd rather have an elk burger than a deer burger.

Thanks for clarifying
I'd rather have plentiful powder at the moment than a million rifles out of which one cannot find ammo to shoot
I'd rather have stick powder than spherical
I'd rather have a shoulder shot than a lung shot
I'd rather have monolithic broad heads than mechanical
I'd rather have a Nikon prostaff than most every other optic (sadly I cannot)
I'd rather have a private place to hunt (deer) than public but am still thankful for public access
I'd rather have unadulterated ground venison than mix it with pork or beef fat
I'd rather have 150gr .308 (or .312 for that matter) bullets than 180-220gr
I'd rather have a dog than a cat
I'd rather have a scent hound than any other kind of dog (no offense to one of my dogs)
I'd rather be bear hunting behind dogs than doing anything else outdoors
I'd rather be healthy enough to enjoy the outside world than be sidelined (and I've been lucky there)

I would rather take a doe than a buck, the meat tastes better. (provided there are enough deer to take one)
I would rather hunt private land that put up with the idiots on public land. But I'm glad they offer use of public land.
I would rather Hunt with reloads than factory ammo.
I would rather watch a sunset than a sunrise. Because the with the sunset I usually have a beer in my hand. LOL
I would rather shoot a military surplus rifle than any of the new plastic rifles.
I would rather build my own rifle than shoot any factory made rifle.
I would rather enjoy life broke that to be rich & owe my life style to the company.
I would rather shoot an AK 100 times & miss than shoot an AR & hit every shot.
I would rather click & paste "I would rather" than type it out every time. LOL How many typed it out every time?

I'd rather have an elk burger than a deer burger.
I'm the opposite. Of course I've never had whitetail - just mule deer. Nevertheless, we (my wife and I) like deer more than elk, elk more than beef, and beef more than pork. Buffalo (bison) meat falls in there somewhere too, but I'm not sure where because we don't get it very often. However, there's nothing on Earth better than barbecued moose ribs as far as we're concerned.:D

IMG_0503.JPG I'd rather have a C97b than polymer .45.
I'd rather have a Browning .30'06 BAR than anything else for Whitetail.
I'd rather have a CZ P-01 than a Ruger 9MM American
I'd rather have a SA Hellcat than a SIG 365
I'd rather have a Taurus TX22 than a Glock 44
I'd rather have a Labrador than an ankle biter.

At present, I can’t think of a single gun that I’d rather have than one I already have. Now that might very well change tomorrow or the next day, but not today.:D
To play along though - when it was just 3-years old, I’d rather have the ’85 Ford F-150 I used to have than the 3-year old Dodge Ram 1500 I now have.

That reminds me... I'd rather have a stick shift than an automatic

which means I'll probably only get one vehicle after this one, after which I'll be walking
Yeppers, the beloved '85 Ford F-150 I mentioned had a 4-speed with a "granny" gear. When I told the saleslady that sold me my Dodge 1500 that I wanted a manual 4-speed, she simply shook her head and said, "Well, there's not much chance you're gonna find one of those.":(
Just to keep this hunting related though - I hauled an awful lot of deer and elk in my old Ford F-150. I haven't hauled any (yet) in the Dodge 1500.;)
