A friend of mine emailed these pictures to me that he found somewhere on the 'net. He said it had no info with the pics. The owners manual looks like it has the New England Firearms logo on it. The cartridges look WAY big for a pistol, but the mags are big also. I've never seen anything like it.

So - It's the "companion weapon" for the P90, that crazy-looking FN submachine gun.

    Cool.

    That looks pretty cool!

Ok, so can someone point me to some ballistic info on the 5.7 cartridge?

CTD has them. Just got the new retail store catalog this week. $899 USD I think.

D-Rays in Dallas has one, and has ammo.

Larry @ SPS Guns in Carrollton teased me with one a couple of weeks ago. I think I have other toys I want first, though.

    Rabbit.

I wonder how that ammo compares to 7.62x25

    One persective:

Think of the ammo as being .22 Rimfire Magnum in a bottleneck, centerfire, case, with a really high price. And private individuals may currently own only one firearm in which to shoot it: The top contender for ugliest handgun in current production.

I look for someone to chamber a rifle for it any day now, touting it as modern day, lower powered replacement for the .22 Hornet - - another ideal answer to a question no one has ever raised.

    Your opinion may vary . . . .

    ;)

You never got the clue from the "FN" owners manual?

    George Hill,
Fabrique National's emblem features stylized, overlapping initials, and I thought the original poster mistook it to represent 'New England Firearms'. Maybe it's possible for someone out there to be as unfamiliar with certain firearms manufacturers as I am ---and it's quite likely I am utterly ignorant of hundreds.
    ;)

Maybe New England Firearms has another (older?) emblem out there that more closely resembles FN Herstal's emblem.

    Johnny Guest,
Did IMI stop making the SP-21 Barak?
Really, I'd like to know if they've finally given up.
And yes, I think there's something out there even uglier than that.
    :D

    Have they changed the rules?
Used to be you had to have an FFL for retail sales of ammunition.

These guys all got it. It's an FN. They make some sweet shotguns too. I could be wrong on this, but a dealer at a gunshow told me they make shotguns with Winchester. Little piece of possible info there. :p

DITTO. and if you're still play counter-strike, look me up. I play most night. Same name, CrudeGT. I usually play on the SOF CAL server.

That handgun is sweet. I would love to have one if I could afford it. It supposed to have very little recoil, and ber very comfortable to shoot.

I don't think you're giving the 5.7 round enough respect, if these claims are true.
