In these tough times I'm sure that those of us who can are helping our neighbors and local citizens as much as we can.

Yesterday we made an on-line donation to the Houston Food Bank, I noticed a checkbox "make donation in the name of an organization". I checked it and entered in "National Rifle Association".

I think this could be a good way to get a little extra benefit from contributions, especially as we have stopped political contributions for the time being.

NRA, SAF, CCRKBA, your state association, etc. would all be good choices, but I think putting aside our recent differences and unifying behind the largest organization (NRA) would help take advantage of the sudden realization of what "reasonable gun control" really is.

I like the cartoon. I'm totally surrounded by "Karen" types (I would say my wife is one of them). They're generally against guns, except when that conflicts with their major imperative, which is the protection of their families.

I wish I would have thought about that this morning. Got my stimulus check and gave some to the local food bank. During these tough times it's more important to give now if able. Alot of folks are hurting out here.

Excellent idea, Wally. Thank you. Love the cartoon.

It reminds me of a woman I saw in a gun store in Westminster California the day after the LA Riots kicked off in ‘92. She purchased 2 expensive shotguns. The man behind the counter said “You can pick these up in 10 days.”
She was flabbergasted.
She said, very incredulously, “10 days! 10 DAYS? What the hell am I supposed to do until then?”
He said “Write your state representatives. If you and people like you had been paying attention maybe this law wouldn’t have passed. You can pick your guns up on (May 10th, I believe)
She was furious.
