    I was told its a Yugo 40 .308
the only thing thats not in yugo is the serial.
There are marking on it: a symbol with HPJ beside it, and some yugo with 44 beside that. Im sure the stock is not factory because I can see some jb weld in the first slot under the receiver to hold it to the stock maybe, Ive yet to take it apart.
any idea wht it is and what its worth?
Ill get a petter picture when I get to a better cam.

Looks like a sporterized and rebarreled Yugo Mauser. They're pretty cheap unmolested, so probably not much.

Does it say Preduzece 44 on the side of the receiver? I can't quite make out what it says.

Yes, I thought it did. It's a M48 Yugo that's been sporterized, and appears nicely done too.
Slightly shorter action than a standard 98 Mauser, they fit the 308 based cases very well. The magazine allows the bullets to be seated out longer than standard COL if you want, compared to the short action mags.
It's possible the "JB Weld" that you mention is actually action bedding material.
    It might be a sleeper.

yea i was told it was called some kind of something glass and its bedding. I shot it today and at 100 yards it was grouping 1 MOA to .5 MOA. Im very happy with it. will it shoot anything other then a .308 or 7.62x51? It has a 1-10 twist so I bought some 110 grain Hornady v-max for it today and Im going ot use H322 and see if that makes a tighter group. I used 165 grain soft point (some cheap brand) today so I know its going to only get better. I picked up about 300 cases of .308 and 7.62x51 today too, they are in the tumbler right now.
