Would this allow the import of replacement barrels for NFA firearms?

It is part of bill HR 4900.

SEC. 209. BARREL AND RECEIVER IMPORTATION.

(a) In General- Section 925(e) of title 18, United States Code, is amended--

(1) in paragraph (1), by striking `, and' and inserting a period;

(2) by adding at the end the following:

`(3) All frames or receivers of rifles, or barrels for firearms other than handguns, if the importation is for repair or replacement purposes.'.

(b) Governmental Imports- Section 925(a)(1) of such title is amended by inserting `, barrel,' after `or importation of any firearm'.

That is a good question which levered me to pull out that binder.
Yes, I do keep copies of certain pertinant information.
No, I am not a lawyer.

In my limited perception, I hope the answer to your question is yes.
That is my weak way of saying I think so.

Yes.

While its true that NFA M-16's can use AR uppers, I believe once the supply of parts kits dries up, AKs will climb in price. BTW, I contacted my congressmen and urged them to support this bill. Have you?
