If limited to 9mm it would be either a CZ Shadow or a Sig 226 SAO Legion for my money.

As one of the most expensive and one best quality production guns I would say the P210 qualifies as high end. It's one of those guns (unlike Glock) that if you buy right won't lose value (unlike Glock). There are not now and never have been a lot of pistols made that cost $3K including the P210. That being said while I personally would like to own one it's not where I would park 3Gs. I personally would be looking for something cool and historically significant and probably military. For me the 9mm thing really limits military arms (I would love a General Officers 1903) to P08s, BHPs, and a Red 9. You could get a nice example for that kind of cash.

    The P210 is military

That’s what it was designed as before anything else.

If you want it to actually shoot and enjoy, my vote is for a CZ Shadow 2 or variant.

I can certainly say, won't be no glock with 4 different barrels.

Already own a tricked out CZ shadow 2 and TSO, so I would probably go with a CZ custom A01LD. Built from the ground up in Arizona.

    Those are very nice pistols.

Unlike CZ's pistols, the A01 uses a forged frame. The whole gun just feels like higher quality than anything from CZ.

IMG_1961 (3).JPG The Sig P226 Legion 9 which was the first handgun I ever bought in 2015. Just got back from the range with it and I loved it from the first time I held it in my hand.

My Crack dealer had a brand new trade in compact come in, calling it beautiful would be an understatement.
Too bad it wasn't the full size it would have found a new forever home.

If I were to look at Bud's inventory this minute, under $3000 leaves out Wilson Combat 1911 pistols, so what I consider "higher end" is a CZ Shadow 2 or Tactical Sport 2, or SiG Legion series.

Just FYI, there’s no such thing as “SiG.”

Wish I knew the origin of this fairly common error of not capitalizing the “I.” Bugs me much more than it should.

Unless your shooting from a ransom rest, my Sig P226 Legion is about as high end as I need to go. It’s the only handgun I’ve owned that is perfect out of the box(for me)

Maxim 9 or a Sphinx 3000. The SilencerCo may lose value, but I suppose my usage thoughts are different for these two. Neither would be a safe Queen.

Les Baer Custom in 9mm; not a more accurate or better built production pistol built, IMO.

I just bought one of the Shadow 2 pistols in Urban Gray. I will hopefully get to pick it up tomorrow and shoot it on Friday.

    Stay safe.
