I picked up an H&K USP Elite a few weeks ago. I’ve owned a couple of USP Experts in the past and, while I liked the look of the Expert a bit more, the Elite is growing on me. I’ve had it out to the range once and, like the Experts I’ve owned before, it is one of the most “effortlessly accurate” pistols I’ve ever owned…and I’ve owned a bunch. You just bring it up, align the sights, squeeze the trigger, and the rounds go exactly where you were aiming.

In a 1911 pattern I’d say look at Alchemy, Les Baer, or Wilson

Other than 1911, I’d suggest a Langdon or Wilson Beretta.

Not sure if this qualifies as high end, but I do think the Beretta 92 Performance and the Sig P 226 series are nice production pistols.

I have a Browning Hi Power. It is my high end 9mm. When someone comes out with a more expensive 9mm that I absolutely have to have I will trade it in for another hi end pistol.

My most expensive semiauto gun is my SIG P226SSE all stainless steel as it should be. Next are my Sphinx SDP and my custom CZ P07.
Highest end revolver is my S&W 625, followed by the gaining in value daily pack of 28-2's

Have liked these since their introduction, too bad H&K discontinued them. Not my choice, but a good choice.

Don't know if it qualifies as higher end. but my CZ shadow 2 smokes the other 9mms I have. I honestly don't know if the czechmate would be that much better again. but given that one limit. I would try the czechmate.

For that price I'd take a Landon Tactical P30L with a Gray Guns flat trigger and cut for an optic.

    Upon further reflection,

possibly an HK P9 or P9 Compact.

Being a Lefty, have no idea whether the ridge built into the left Grip (for the Righties) would be uncomfy.

But the main preference is for a Luger chambered in 9x19.

A very astute gun buddy could advise me whether the seller can be mistaken about a given set of components’ context, or Lying about which components are original, or originally belonged together etc.

For target, go with the CZ Orange. My buddy has one and it's a big, heavy, and did I mention heavy, 9mm. It also is easy as pie to chew the X ring out of a target... and quickly too.

For carry/ serious use, I'd go with the Wilson Combat EDC X9. I skeptically bought one (based partly on Wilson's reputation and partly because for the price i paid i knew i could get my money back). I was doubt full but OMG is it a serious pistol! Way more accurate that I'll ever be, uber reliable, and very light. Its a 1911/2011 designed around the 9mm cartridge. Plus, 15-18 rounds in the mag dosen't hurt.
