• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

Would you feel comfortable in your town or. City exposing your iron?
Inquiry minds want to know!

Tell us your thoughts and reasons please!

It’s been my feeling that there’s always gonna be someone that would want to try to be a jackass and go for it…..

I’ve also seen plenty of what seems like “wanna be tough guys/gals” that open carry ‘cause it’s the “cool thing to do”…

Not all open carriers are that way, but it only takes a few idiots to spoil the lot…

Hidden concealment is MY choice of carry….

I voted no. I open carried at work about half of my "Career". It's been my experience that OC causes more problems than it solves.

I've had a could of people try to take my gun at work, a couple who I think were seriously considering it and a whole bunch more who took it as an invitation to talk Smack about the fact that I was open carrying (because that's what the client wants) .

If you choose to open carry it's none of my concern but I have no interest in participating.

I want the right to open carry if I so choose ...

Nothing wrong with having "Rights" ... rights are good ...

Just because you don't like something ... never limit another honest citizen of his right to keep and bear arms .

I don’t think anyone so far gas said anything about limiting others right because they don’t choose to carry that way…??

Open carry is a bad idea all around. Most civilians are not trained in weapon retention and their holsters lack security features to defeat a snatch and grab. Open carry makes you a target to either shoot first or to flash mob you take your weapon. It also scares the tourists and attracts unwanted attention because local LE then need to check out the "man with a gun" call.

I OC everywhere I can once I leave Florida one of the forbidden. Never a problem.
New Mexico ,Wyoming, Montana, etc.
If you don't use it ,maybe lose it.
.Cops I worked with for 20 years all carried OC in uniform and plain clothes detectives ,all OC.. None felt they were a target, none got a surprise bullet

The fear is vastly overrated. If you can OC, Just Do It!
