If you had an "extra" 1K, what gun would you buy?

CZ evo3 scorpion (about$800) + sb tactical brace( $200plus) and then a red dot (can save for it later )

I'm anticipating a nice bump in pay and have a lil money earmarked for a new gun. I like and want for all kinds but as of right now I'm looking at a couple uppers, trying to decide between the PSA premium w/geissele super mod rail and a BCM mid length enhanced LW with BCM Mlok. They are both very nice but I'm leaning toward the BCM because it's on sale for under $600 and quality is likely quantifiably better on the BCM.

Been eyeballing a MK12 upper for a long time too and that would fulfill a long time wish but that exceeds my 1K limit by a small amount so I have to kick it around some more.

Was also considering a PCC, this purchase isnt intended to fulfill a particular need, just kind of a splurging for the heck of it kind of thing.

What would you buy with a grand if you were splurging?

Oh WOW!

A Jeep and guns makes me remember one of my favorite combat TV series...The Rat Patrol. I fell in love with the Jeep and Ma Duece blazing away as it crested a sand dune.

But 1k will not forfilled that fantasy .

Just did this a couple weeks ago. Bought a new PCC in .357 Magnum/.38 Special. No extra magazines needed. :cool:

But it would buy you the Rat Patrol complete series on DVD or Blu Ray and then you could go gun shopping!
 
Make that 5K and I'll go for a civilian model of one of these.

Now I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the extra $70 for BFH or Standard.

The standard enhanced LW upper is $598. The BFH enhanced LW is about $674.

I'm probably just going to pony up the extra for the upgrade, it's worth it not to have to second guess it.
 
I'd like to think I'd splurge on something fun, like a BHP, but I'd probably talk myself out of it and wind up buying more mags or ammo. (As I mentioned in a similar thread.)
 
My next 2 guns (and probably last ones) will be a Baretta 92 Elite LTT and a Sig 229 Legion, both in 9mm. I'd put the $1000 toward the Sig.

I'd seriously consider another upper for my AR15 if I had an extra grand

When you're not really in the market for new hardware, you tend to think in terms of ammo and accessories. That's probably the route I would go, realistically.

I'm thinking about picking up reloading for .38/.357, and $1K would go a long way towards that I would imagine.



Sometimes I have brief thoughts about a .45-70, and I've also been thinking about a .44 mag revolver/levergun combo lately. I could also take $1K and get a couple of guns in some "off" calibers that I don't normally stock for "just in case" ammo availability purposes (I'm looking at you, 9mm/.40 cal). But to be honest I could get by fine without any of these things.

Yep, I've always wanted a 45-70 and/or a .44 mag lever gun. I was at a gun show yesterday and one table had a Marlin 45-70 and Marlin .44 mag lever gun right next to each other. Both were priced $800 (used of course).
