If you had just enough money, right now, to buy any one firearm this instant, what would it be?

It would have to be a Colt Python still in the box! It would come out of the box and down to the range immediately. When they were fairly inexpensive years ago I could only afford S&W. Now I kick myself for not getting one. I shot quite a few over the years and the actions were sweet and smooth.
So yep a Colt Python for me! Got to love the finish they used back in the 60s and 70s cant be replicated today!
I wanaaat one.

Oh my. I don't know if I could ever get one like that, because I'd have to shoot it at some point. Maybe one that's seen some action in its life would be better for someone like me. Still, that's one nice shooting iron you have there, sir.
I have a second broomie for shooting, on the left

No, the Lewis only came in 303 and 30-06. I want one in 303. Hell, at this point I'd take a non firing dispaly gun...

You're right 303. It's been 30 years since I shot it, a buddy of mine's sweetheart. I had to call and ask.

wait.....you DONT own a minigun?

Figured you of all people would have one....?D

Boy, do I wish I had a form 1 for one filed before 5-19-1986, I could pull it off now and afford to shoot it for a few minutes a year....

Maybe just because I never got to play with one though. Got to play with a lot of “cool toys” at a FNH advertising shoot a few years ago, when I built a mount for one of their systems on a Humvee. I didn’t tell them the firearm on sight that was the most fun to me wasn’t an FN.

3 choices. Browning M2, Barrett M107, or Big Horn Armory Model 89 in .460S&W. I'd probably never "need" tell first two. And I certainly can't afford to feed the first. I'd take the M2 if generous ammo budget comes with the gun budget.

If no ammo money came with it I'd have a tough choice. I'd have to reload for the Barrett or Model 89. And even reloading I'd have trouble feeding the Barrett very often. The Model 89 would actually be a practical hunting rifle and could double as a range plinker with reduced loads. But the 89 isn't completely out of my realm of possibility to actually purchase. But I really want a .50BMG. Geez, I'd have to flip a coin.

Since I plan on buying a gun for Trap anyway, how about a Ljutic Mono gun with a high rib and an adjustable Wenig stock with a Soft Touch recoil reducer? P-guns and K-guns are nice, I've shot 'em both, but I really liked the Mono-gun I shot many years ago.

A custom Marlin 1895
Chambered in .45-70
Stainless
26" octagonal barrel with full tube
Skinner sights
Pistol grip walnut stock with a standard red recoil pad.

Reason why, cause I wanna and it's pretty

I recently discovered there's a 1000 yard range close by and the LGS has a Remington Custom Shop 40x 6.5 Creedmore in stock...
