If you had to add another chambering to the stable

Right now I have 38/357 (I only count those as one). 30-30, 22 LR, 22 WMR, and 280 Rem, 223, and 308. (Both those are AR platform)

I would probably look at a Remington 7600 in 7mm-08. Didn’t make a ton of them but they are out there. If I found one in 280 I would probably buy that first though.

I recently converted a 1911 to .460 Rowland, .44 mag performance in an easy to carry 9 shot auto has a lot of appeal to me.
I'm considering doing the same to a Glock 21/20, the .460 is an impressive round in a handy package.

460, 480, or 500 in an x frame, And counterpart in a single action
50-110
10ga front stuffer double
36 cal mid-stuffer Remington pocket

I could go on a long long time.

Haven’t forgotten the .280AI, but my latest thought has been a .375 Ruger. I have no need for a dangerous game cartridge, but I still have a hankerin’ for one.

my next purchase is almost always a chambering I don't have lol.
I'm thinking 6-06AI or 25-06AI for the next project.

Been in a sweat to acquire a .476 Eley in the Colt New Service. Same thing really as the more common .455 in terms of bullet. The difference is that the .476 has an oversized bore, requiring a hollow base bullet cast of soft lead that'll expand to take the rifling--or that's the theory. Making it work and killing stuff in the field for the larder would be wild.

Really, it was obsolete by 1898 when the New Service hit the market, but it's always listed.

Was in a sweat until I picked up Timothy J. Mullin's book on the New Service. He said two .476's are known to exist: one in Australia, another in Alaska.

So much for dreams. Oh well, sour grapes, a squirrel popped through the ears with a .45 Colt will taste just as sweet.

For those wanting a 10mm and 45-70, do it. Especially if you reload.

Ive set here for the better part of 5 minutes thinking about what I’d want if I had to. Not being a precision shooter, I wouldn’t want a precision cartridge. Being as I’ll likely only ever hunt NA, I have all those bases covered several times over as well. So this would be a purely “fun” gun. So I guess an Anzio in 20mm Vulcan. If someone could help me carry it from my truck... D071EE16-F20F-4ED0-8B24-A77A7BCEA79A.jpeg

I don't know that I need another caliber.
I, currently have...
9mm, 45acp, 45colt/454 casual, 7.62x25 in pistols.
.22lr, .223, 5.56, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7.62x39, 300 blk, 308, 8x57, 450bushmaster in rifles.
A pretty solid stable, if I do say so.
