Interesting how this comparison introduces and obvious bias. Removed from the statistics to make things "comparable," the number of Blacks and Hispanics is removed from the American tallies but not from the Canadian tallies. How convenient to include 1% Hispanices and 2.5% Blacks in the Canadian totals.

If you are going to claim and Apples to Apples comparison, then actually make one. That NO correction was provided for these Canadian data makes it look like Canada doesn't have any Blacks or Hispanics, an obviously wrong belief, so much so that the bias would seem almost intentional given the claim of Apples to Apples.

The sad thing is that the argument could still be made fairly well, but given the bias that obviously favors the point being made, I would be inclined to not believe any of their data at face value.

    Double,
A huge part of that is the way the numbers are tallied by the Canada. You will note they made this very clear and tried to fudge the numbers to make the best comparison they could.
Besides I suspect you missed the critical point. The left would love to blame guns for the high murder rate and then compare the hard core gun laws on the books in places like Canada for why the numbers are so much lower. Yet when you actually look at the wider picture, the rate of murders is really very similar. It's not the object, gun, knife, fist, etc but the person behind.
The next time someone brings it up you now can be better informed about the actual facts!
