Billionaire? Well then I would probably have a collection to rival the NRA Museum. :D

I would buy or start a company and make reproductions of cool old guns.

The problem with that much money ends up being time. I'd probably have a small personal collection, but would buy or go into partnership with a few gun ranges, Class 3 SOT FFLs and Type 6 FFLs.

Either that, or buy CTD and raise the prices again so that I could make the next billion :)

    For Hunting:
A Peter Hofer Fierling with two 12 gauge barrels O/U and two 9.3x74r or .375 H&H SxS barrels. It can take birds in a pinch, it can take all north American game and take African game, too. Having 12 gauge backup for dangerous game seems sensible too.

A S&W Performance Center .460 with a 5" Barrel customized by Bowen Classic Arms. It can shoot the rediculously powerful .460S&W the .454 Casull, but also the more moderate .45 long colt, and the less expensive .45acp and .45gap with moon clips. Covers pretty much any game I can think of.

    For Target Shooting:
A PGM Ultima Ratio with the finned "Intervention" barrel in .260 Remington and the wood furniture for eccentricity. I've fondled one very briefly once... the fit and finish was out of this world. Everything felt like a bank vault. The finned barrel was very cool... pun intended.

Manurhin MR 93... Looks like a typical functioning but eccentric looking .357/.38 revolver. Everything I've heard about Manurhin is that their stuff is quality. Odd, I just realized that both of my sporting firearms are French. As an American-Brit I'm at odds with myself now. Doesn't matter right? Billionaires couldn't give a rip about their nationality, their money obliges them not to.

    For Social Work:
A SIG 551. AK reliability, SIG fit and finish, good ergos, and compact. What's not to like?

Nighthawk Custom Predator with Recon Frame. I can't account for it, I just like the way they look.

    Curio & Relic:
Billionaires are often eccentric... so I would need a Czech ZH-29 too. Everything about it except the 8x57 cartridge it fires is eccentric.
    http://www.forgottenweapons.com/early-semiauto-rifles/czech-zh29-rifle/

Webley Fosberry... Same as above except even the cartridge is eccentric.

    Concealed Carry:
Gemini Custom Ruger SP101 in .327 Federal. Simply Perfect.

CZ Custom Pro-Tek 1. Again... Simply Perfect.

    Killian, so close!

The Golden Gun from The Man With the Golden Gun. Unlimited ammo right? Unlimited GOLD ammo! Screw the gun, I'm after the unlimited gold!

After all, what self respecting billionaire doesn't dream of being a Quadrillionaire? Goldfinger was small potatoes.

Probably an FG42. In my opinion, it is one of the most interesting and unique firearms ever made.

But if I wanted to get really crazy, it'd probably be a Flakvierling 38. 1800 rounds of 20mm per minute should get the job done

A billionaire? Anything he wants. I'd probably buy myself an island.

Well, I have always wanted a tommy gun! ;-). Or, I think it would be super cool to get my hands on the actual M 60 that I carried in the Marines for a short time.

A complete Bomb Wing of B-2s... and an island airfield to base 'em... AND a small fleet of tankers to keep 'em refueled should they ever need to Reach Out And Touch Someone.

Then again, ONE B-2 stickers at $2.1 billion... maybe I'd just buy the USAF the rest of the F-22 fleet it wanted, on the condition that they have Lockheed Martin build me a special two-seater model.

I like the idea of buying an island and setting up my own government. What gun would I get? I'd have my weapons completely custom-made just for me. I'd use standard magazines from a popular brand, but otherwise have the weapon designed to work based on my specifications. It wouldn't be cosmetics, either; mainly operating controls.

My island would include lots of short and long range ranges aiming off the beach, and because it's just me and my friends/family on the island, there is no need to worry about stray rounds. My best friend is a pilot, so he could do whatever - either off or on the island - with the stipulation that when I need someone or something brought to my island he flies on my personal jet.

I like this idea. Where do I get my billion?

ETA: I would also buy an F-35 for my friend to use in case it's needed. I can't think of a better weapon against pirates.

    LOL

I'm not into guns, so I would still stick to whatever works best for what I need.

Like the smallest un-sexy carry gun in my platform that I like and shoot well.

Like the finest tuned SA revolvers for mounted shooting (ok, I might dress up the grips).

Now my leather for those revolvers? THAT would be HOT! And the holsters and belt I have now arent too shabby, but nowhere near as blinged up as they could be.

I'd love to say some glossy 1911's for sport shooting but really, I dont have unlimited time (even as a billionaire)...and need to spend my time training with the guns I do own.

First, I would buy an island large enough to be self-sustaining in a more gun-friendly area, then I would be visiting the makers in England, Italy, and Austria for a lot of bespoke guns and rifles
