I'm ready to apply for the Illinois CCL. I have a passport photo scanned in as a pdf. I don't seem to be able to save it as a jpg. Does anyone know offhand if a pdf photo is acceptable?
Thanks.

In technical reality, a .pdf photo is already a proprietary variation on the .jpg/.jpeg. I get your concern. Regardless, if you have an IL DL they will end up using that photo for your CCL regardless of what you send in...BUT they do want it sent in! Also, I have some unsolicited but I think useful advice on dealing with the ISP CCL portal. When you start doing all this, I would suggest: 1) Using a PC/computer...NOT a tablet or phone 2) Hard-connecting via a wire to the router/modem and NOT via any wireless set up. In the past, the ISP had security on their site set up to NOT permit using any device but a wired-to-the internet PC. I would best assume that this is still true. Also, Internet Explorer seemed the most glitch-free browser to use. Just my .02 cents...worth at least what it cost ya! Good Luck...it can take a while + 153 bucks!

For sure. Thanks for the input. I finished the application yesterday. When I uploaded the picture, it rotated 90 degrees and I couldn't fix it. So that might be a problem. Guess I'll find out eventually. I now have a proper passport photo I can send if needed.
