N140 & N150 are favorites. I just picked up some N135 for the 110s and 115s in 308. I’m trying the pistol powders soon, just haven’t yet. Fwiw, n150 is probably the cleanest powder I’ve ever run in 308. WAY cleaner than Varget.

Still looking for a can of N140...

I don't really have a reason to try them in pistol cartridges... I am already stocked for years as far as that goes... but I wouldn't mind trying one or two in some rifle cartridges. The only powder I'm currently low on is IMR4064, for the .308... which points to N140. I just had 8# of Shooters World Precision fall into me lap, so, unless that just falls apart in load testing, I really don't have a slot for a VV powder at the moment.

I have one pound on n150 I intended to run in 7.7 and 6.5x55 with 100s. This euro stuff needs to be sold by the kilo 🤣

Your definitely not powder poor 😆

I used VN140 back in the day, when it came in 2 lb cans and was priced competetively. Then they switched to 1 lb cans and the price went WAY up. Somewhere in that time period they had some stability problems with that powder, and I got some 300 pieces of difficult to replace brass in .300 Savage and a couple metric calibers ruined when the powder started eating through the brass. I scrapped everything loaded with VN140 out of an abundance of caution.

Haven't gone back to it since, but I haven't heard any issues of stability for some time so I would probably go back if the price was right. It did make very accurate ammunition for me. ETA, it seems to be priced better than AA2495 or AA4064 at the moment, so once the metric butt load of that I have is nearing oblivion, I'll probably be trying it again

I would not load it for handgun cartridges unless the price came WAY down. There are much more economical options that are IMHO equally effective.

N165 is the coolest burning rifle powder on the market. H4350 was less than 1K rounds in my .243 and the barrel was toast. N165 I've got 2 barrels with over 3K rounds.
I have an 8 of that unopened for the 6.5x55. I have 50 rounds to knock appart loaded with hunter so I can recover the bullets.... I haven't ever found a good hunter load yet.....

I haven’t had any reason to try them. The only Shooter’s World powder I’ve tried is Clean Shot, and that’s just because it’s supposed to be similar to No.2.

I have enough of the Alliant, IMR, and Winchester powders I like to last me plenty long enough.

None of the options fit me, but I use many of their pistol powders and some of their rifle powders. Clean to work with, easy to empty from measures,
don't leak from loosely fitted powder measures, meter well to very well, super clean, accurate, what's not to like. And now they are more competitively
priced than ever. I got into Vihtavuori powders about 1994, so three decades.

I have some N-310, N-320, N-32C Tin Star, N330, N-340, 3N37, N-105, N-110, N120, N-133, N-140, N150, & N-160. (My N-130 went bad)

I used N320 early in my reloading career for 124gr 9mm and really liked it because of how clean it was and how well it ran through my powder measures on my progressive presses. The price made me look for less spendy alternatives, which lead me to Sport Pistol and e3...which were great until the prices went up and availability when down. Luckily this coincided with increased availability and lowered prices of Vihtavuori (VV) powders..

N310 has been my go to powder for .45ACP 200gr SWC and 9mm 147gr Heavy Matchwinners...to the point where I ended up with 16lbs (picked them up for < $30/lb). I also won a pound of 3N37 at a match but haven't tried it yet.

I decided to branch out to loading a bit of rifle and picked up 8lbs of N135 for .223 and 8lbs or N140 for 7mm-08 to get started...less expensive than H335 and Varget that I was looking for

Add Hodgdon to that list, and I'm in the same boat. I'm one of the people that had enough in stock to weather the various shortages (got caught short in the Clinton Regime, never again).

When I run short of the legacy powders I will start afresh, but that wont be for some tmie yet.

You know, is I think of it, I believe N140 was the first Rifle powder I bought. Second was 4064, some superformance and cfe223 in their to I believe… and I’ve used about 200 gr of all but the n140, of which I’m now several pounds in…
