    Today I turned 60
With the big day fast approaching I did not hesitate when I saw this 1952 5" 357 Magnum S&W pre-27 with a bit of holster wear, original grips and little use:

Very, very nice! I carried a 5 inch for a while before going to .45 auto. Really like a 5 inch barrel, and on the big N frame, a thing of beauty!

    Happy Birthday !!! My favorite S&W is a 27.
Oddly you did not get a model 60 for turning 60 but personally I think this is way better.

    A Happy Birthday!

I second that opinion of a five inch barrel for the N Frame. Just seems to balance.

Wow! Happy birthday and what a great find. My favorite .357 is my 5" 27-2. They are the perfect size for me and so wonderfully made.

    Happy Birthday! Nice pistol!

Keep in mind that today you ended your 60th year and began your 61st ...

... for some strange reason when I point out this aspect of the numbers to my sister on her birthday, she hits me. We have been doing this for so long that it is now Family Tradition. :)

    Bushmaster,

Happy birthday, youngster! Great BD present to yourself. I do not shoot my 27 near enough but I do call it my "Holster Rifle". Thanks for sharing yours with us.

    I could use a K frame, i.e., 19, 65 or 66

    What should I get "When I'm 64"

Well that's about as good as it comes from S&W. Those guys took their time in those days to build (not assemble) a revolver. That was born the same year I was. Drool........

Happy Birthday my friend! Outstanding choice in a .357 revolver, especially with the 5" barrel! One of the all-time classic S&W wheelguns. Enjoy your new found treasure and thanks for sharing.
