    I know all gun are different and what works in one doesn't necessarily work in another. I know there are powders that work as well or better in the 30-06. PLEASE DO NOT recommend any other powders or bullets. I'm asking about IMR4064 only.

    Does anyone have a pet load using IMR4064 with either a Seirra or Hornady 168gr BTHP bullet for the 30-06?

    Thank you in advance...

    I would go with 48.0 grains of IMR 4064 in Garand, in a bolt rifle, might bump that up to 49.0 grains.

    M1 Garand Match Douglas Barrel 1:10 twist

    168 gr Sierra Match 48.0 IMR 4064 wtd LC66NM WLR OAL 3.30"
    5 May 00 T = 82 ° F

    Ave Vel = 2594
    Std Dev = 18
    ES = 38
    Low = 2575
    High = 2613
    N = 5

    168 gr Sierra Match 49.0 wtd IMR 4064 LC66NM WLR OAL 3.30"
    5 May 00 T = 82 ° F

    Ave Vel = 2669
    Std Dev = 27
    ES = 65
    Low = 2651
    High = 2716
    N = 5

    48 grains is my go to load. Very accurate in a variety of rifles from Garands to bolts.

    +1 to SlamFire1's data. I use 48g of IMR4064 in my M1 Garand with 168Gr Sierras or 49g of IMR4895. Can't tell much difference between the performance of the powders.

    With a 150gr FMJBT, 50.5 gr. of IMR4064 has been a good load. The load was made using military brass, most from WW2 time frame. Don't know if it would work for you and as always, START with a reduced volume of powder and work up to make sure no pressure problems occur.
