Sounds like every first production gun I have ever worked on.

I know of a similar rifle. My friend's CIA M1 has a trigger-guard from hell. Have to hit it with a mallet to get it closed, then put a screwdriver through it and stand on it like a pogo stick to get it loose.

A Colonel called the thing a "gun"? My DI would have him in the front-leaning-rest position for that terminology. Well, ok, maybe he wouldn't dress down a Colonel. But: "This is my rifle, this is my gun. One is for shooting, yadda yadda".

    Thanks, Clancy.

    Regards.
