I seem to have got my Kimber Ultra Ten II 10-round mags working by replacing the Kimber springs with Wolf extra power springs for the Para P12 that I had after they didn't solve the problems with the SA Ultra Compact shown in the photo.
I seem to have got 4 of the 5 SA mags working now by using Wolf extra power P14 mag springs in the 12-rounders and P13 springs in the 10-rounders along with a lot of elbow grease polishing the inside surfaces of the mags. I'm taking a break from polishing the last non-working mag to send this.
Just a spring replacement seems to have done the trick on the Kimber mags.
So, IndridCold, you might have hope yet. I agree it sucks to have to spend $18 to "fix" a new gun, but you could hassle with Kimber to make them replace the mags or springs. I prefer to spend a little time and money to learn what's wrong and figure out how to fix it myself. If I recall correctly, the BP Ten II has a full size grip so I'd start with the Wolf extra power P14 springs or the generic "fitting required" extra power springs for custom PO mags and stop cutting off half-turns as soon as you can fit the full number of rounds into the mag.
