info on caps

I'm trying to figure out how old this cap container is. It's made of cardboard (or paper) and filled with, yep... caps.
Any ideas? Is it old or is it a Dixie Gun Works type item.

this item is an original circa 1850's J. Goldmark percussion caps canister. Cardboard container with labels pasted on top and bottom.

This was hard to research so please correct me if I am wrong. I believe this was made when the advertising and planning began in 1858 for the World Exposition that eventually was held in 1862 in London.

The Italian War of Independence, which had broken out in 1859, almost brought the preparations to a complete halt. Nobody in London could imagine that in the midst of this crisis, it would be possible to find sufficient foreign exhibitors.

On the top is says:
Amorces Cannelées Fendues (which means, 'Split grooved starters').
100 G.D.
Qualite Supericure

On the bottom there are 3 seals with the date of 1858. Printing says:
American Manufacture Anti-corrosive percussion caps by J. Goldmark
Primed with pure anti-corrosive fulminate
