    That hole is where you tie the string so you can spin it around and make aborigonal signals. Just a guess since it looks like it does everything else.
    Very cool I want one too.

    Looked like something for the truck box. Found one on ebay and won it for $38.00 shipped. Very impressive looking tool. If it performs like I expect I'll get another two for vehicle kits. Be much easier to explane tne my other hawks.

    So you guys want to pry on something, perhaps in the wet & dark, with an axe blade facing towards you?

    What if it/or you slips or pops free? Where will various parts of your body be at in relation to that axe blade if it suddenly comes backwards right at you?
