I like them. I think the first one would be better if you used the shot of the plainclothes guy with the Saiga. The gun he's holding looks a little too "sporting" so fence sitters might think "well of course he can have his hunting rifle". An EBR may make them think about it a little longer.

You could also do one with a LEO and a plain clothes guy/gal with something along the lines of "Guess who has more firearms training".

Actually there are some LEO's over at the Saiga forum, one IIRC is an armorer for his force, "madmillo" is his handle... So in uniform with the Saiga and plainclothes would be appropriate.

I agree, this is the time for the EBR, or something similar.

18 year old in Military Uniform holding M-16.

40 Year old wearing a suite and holding AR-15 with two ATF agents holding their hands out like they want something.

Caption: When I was 18 you handed me one of these and said, we trust you to stand up and defend our nation, now go protect us.

Now I'm forty and I can't be trusted anymore?

Not to nitpick, but I thought the phrase was "Clothes don't make the man".

Otherwise, I'm with the "Give him an EBR" Crowd, for the same reasons.

    Perhaps "disallow" instead of "bedgrudge"?

"to protect his family" on the end. "To protect his" seems to leave the native English speaker hanging. His . . . his what???

    I tweaked it.

The trouble with explaining non-trivial concepts to non-gunnies is that brevity can turn into enigma and lose the message I try to communicate.

I agree - change "begrudge." I think most people will say, "What's that word? No idea. Whatever," and miss the meaning.

I know the idea of this was to have the same guy in both poses.. how bout adding a third guy holding a rifle. Maybe George Washington or Abe Lincoln or any recognizable revolutionary.

Oleg - I like all three, but I like the *new* one at the top the best.

    Awesome work, as always.

I like the second one, however, it's been my experience that the Virginia State Police are pretty tight-a**ed about publicity.

I like the one Scorpiousdeus came up with. Very visual. Nice work on the posters, Oleg.

Out of curiosity, how are these going to be used? I think I'd do you better service with a critique after knowing that.
    Thanks!

I'd redirect the muzzle slightly to avoid pointing at the other guy's foot (even if it's the same guy).

I like the first one the best. It works on a number of levels. And yes, the phrase is "clothes don't make the man", not "a man".

The third one doesn't do much for me, but maybe that's because the message is so different from the first two, it just didn't click for me.

    Good work, as usual!
