I purchased 4 shellplates for my LNL-AP press last year. 3 have been defective. The first was a #16 plate where one of the slots wasn't cut completely; it was successfully replaced last year.

Last night, I found that 2 plates purchased last April are not flat. They are bowed upward in the middle. It is just enough friction to cause the outer edge of the plate to rub the subplate and keep the shellplate from snapping into the next position when advancing. That caused intermitent priming issues and cases that don't enter the dies just right.

I have no doubt that Hornady will replace the 2 shellplates just like they did with the first plate (and several other parts) in my quest to have the press operate the way it should.

Check your shellplates carefully before you need to rely on them.
