Installing new thumb latch

Got an Ed Brown extended thumb latch for my 686. What is the procedure? Is it simply removing the screw or is there more to it than that?

I can't imagine there is any more to it than that.

Watch that mag-latch screw though.
The slot is mighty narrow, and the temptation to run the wrong screwdriver into it is strong.

Beware the buggered screw head!

That's pretty much it. Use a flat-ground screwdriver. Maybe a dot of nail polish on the threads to keep it tight.

Well, that's what it looked like. Funny how stuff like that can be deceiving, though.

I'll take your advice and be careful, as well as a preventative measure.
