Integrally suppressed Ruger MkII source list

I am in the market for an integral ruger MkII, and after doing a lot of web surfing, these are the options i have come up. I figured it would also be useful to others searching for one.

I would also like to request that anyone who owns an integral MkII please post what make and model you have, including the tube length, whether it is sealed or not, how you like it, etc.

Please also post some pictures of your specimin also if you can. This would help a lot of people who may be on the fence about which brand to go with.

The Gemtech Quantum might also be available although no longer listed on Gemtech's site. Gemtech has been quite accomodating on special orders. At least one dealer has stock. It is $635 for the upper reciever assembly, so you need to supply a base Ruger Mark II.

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with any of these? Do they have to be used "wet" with oil. Are they hard to clean? Are they durable and does the slide on the gun still cycle fine? I assume you should use subsonic ammo but, are these guns picky about what ammo works?

All of the rimfire suppressors that I have used do not require liquids to be added; they all are run "dry". Cleaning has been everything from easy to a pain in the behind. Some units are sealed and are cleaned by being dunked into solvent. Others require disassembly for cleaning. All require cleaning, especially since .22 LR is a somewhat dirty round in a pistol. I try to clean every two bricks or so unless the can is on a rifle.

The bolt on the Ruger Mark II cycles just fine. I tend to use CCI Standard Velocity and Winchester DynaPoints.

You can pay anywhere from 550 to 1200 or more.

I really dont think that there are any duds on the market, just find one that fits your price range and has the features you are looking for.

I personally went with SRT.

From a durability and ease of maintenance standpoint, which would be the best choice? I, for one, have no real need for absolute performance. I would probably be using standard velocity ammo for plinking and pest control at best. I'd like to be able to disassemble the gun and do a thorough cleaning after every season.

My personal preference in suppressors is Gemtech. Good quality design and construction, real specifications that are not exaggerated (the SPL reductions that some manufacturers quote are questionable), and a company that stands behind its products.

I have shot both muzzle cans and integral suppressors, and each type has its benefits. The muzzle can's best feature is being able to suppress multiple firearms. It is a lot of fun to shoot a suppressed Marlin 39A. Integral suppressors best feature is that there is not a muzzle can hanging off the end of the barrel.

The biggest problem with getting a suppressor is the wait. I have been waiting for almost three months for my latest purchase to get BATF approval to be transferred from the manufacturer to my dealer. Once it gets to the dealer, I can start with my Form 4. It looks like this transaction will be close to a year from start to finish.

Badger, some of the designs are made to be disassembled....Some are not...The SRT is...

However, even SRT who makes their integrals able to be dissassembled, says that you can fire thousands of rounds between dissassembly. Most manufacturers suggest just plugging one end of the barrel, and filling the tube with a mild solvent such as simple green or mineral spirits, and then draining it.
