Yes refute it honestly and calmly.
Back in 1992 several NYC newspapers/TV shows kept referring to a certain round as "The Powerful 9mm!!!!
I wrote a three paragraph letter to Newsday--a very liberal paper--explaining, the history of the 9mm, it's use by police/citizens, etc, etc.
(Such as it's year of invention (1902) and that it is not that much more powerful than the +p.38 Special cartridge already in use.)
I ended it by saying that selecting a proper police handgun/load should be left in the hands of the many experts in the field, and out of the hands of politically correct politicians.
Newsday called me a week later and asked for permission to publish my letter, which they did--word for word.
I received many phone calls from friends--who had no firearms knowledge--who were shocked at the amount of lying the media had been telling them about the 9mm,semi autos, etc.
Maybe it was just a coincidence, but shortly thereafter the term "POWERFUL" was no longer in local media use to describe the 9mm cartridge.

Unfortunately, this is Left's forte'- exploiting the hysteria that arises from the ignorance about firearms.

The liberal-controlled lame-stream media, being a tool of those who wish to exploit this, has a HUGE advantage in that they, primarily ABC, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC (with their audience of 13 people), have the "lions-share" of the airways- they've been feeding generations of Americans anti-gun dreck for decades and their "audience" has been well-prepared to receive their agenda.

Best we can do is join a gun-rights organization (NRA, GOA, JPFO- I am sure we know them all by now), bury our elected representatives with mail demanding that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights be respected, volunteer our time to serve the cause and educate non-shooters on a one on one basis.

Then do what I did and post a rational comment.

At the very least, if you guys are not working to correct this misinformation by the media you are part of the problem.

write, call and correct. Everyone can contribute.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk. Hence all the misspellings and goofy word choices.
