Hey guys I'm looking to get one of these from Atlantic Firearms and was wondering if anybody here has experiences with or has anything to say about this model.

Anybody know the rate of twist?

Will it accomodate all weights of ammo or does it like a particular weight?

It's supposed to be easy to replace the wire stock to original wood but is it possible to get blonde furniture for the tantal?

Thanks in advance to all whom reply

Ak

I have one. It is as well made as an Ak can be.

Barrel is the original Polish barrel. Don't know the twist rate, but the surplus stuff is fine. don't know about the heavier commercial stuff out now.

You can bolt any regular stamped AK stock onto it. So a blond stock should be no problem. Don't know about the forearm though.

Now, would I buy one again. Nope. Not worth the money IMO. Should be a $400 gun.

The Tantal uses different fore end stocks than any other AK, so changing them out isn't going to be easy. Personally I really like my Tantal and I would get another one. The days of $400 Tantals are over and in fact I'm not sure how far back you would have to go to ever have gotten one for that price. Atlantic is a good outfit that will stand behind there rifles should anything be wrong, but these are good builds. I also think, in the current market, that this is a fair price, and they should be able to handle any weight bullet you want to use.
