I have a listing in the classified section, and have had only one (private) response, although it is not what I was hoping for. Quoted here for your reading pleasure:

What Does This have to Do with Firearms?

Maybe my I.Q. points are still down from too little coffee. What does this thread have to do with firearms and The High Road? This is an obvious scam.

I already notified the mods. I trust this will be pulled soon. As you can detect from the grammar, this is probably from an eastern bloc country

1040,

Posts that are not firearms related belong over in A&P instead of THR. You'll get a lot of flack for being a noob if you can't keep something this fundamental straight.

Good luck.

This is a very 'popular' scam that iirc, originated in Nigeria.

To put this thread (a very little bit) on topic - take some time deciding what gun you're going to use to save yourself if you make the absurd mistake of traveling to meet this guy to solidify the deal. You'll need one. Maybe two.

Yes, we know about this scam, and have already banned the sender. BTW, some of the respondents here seem to think that 1040 is the originator. He's not - just one of many recipients.

If anyone receives this sort of PM or message from another THR member, please report it to a moderator ASAP (click on the triangle warning sign containing an exclamation mark at the bottom of the left-hand column). We'll take care of it.
